One of my favourite meal places at novena - kazoku japanese cuisine at togather cafe!
I have been eating this for at least 6 years bow ever since i got introduced to this plate! This bowl of unagi down only costs $10.90! Already a very affordable price by itself!
My other favourite don here is the tori chicken don! They also sell katsu curry rice, soba and udon!
However due to “inflation”, this bowl used to have egg strips! Now no more :(

Thai Food from Gu Thai House!
Thai Basil Minced Pork Rice ($7.95): My all time favourite dish to get when ordering thai food! This was slightly spicy. Generous portions of minced meat compared to rice portion, and love that runny egg yolk!
Phad Thai Noodles ($8.70): I was surprised that the phad thai noodles still held up well even after almost 30minutes when it was packed! There were 4 prawns given, with a few pieces of taukwa!
Thai Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice ($9.70): The rice was weirdly quite hard! Felt as if it was scooped up from the bottom of the rice tray. It was kinda sticky hard, when I thought fried rice should be fluffy. This tom yum seafood fried rice was also different from the usual I had as there was evidently tom yum sauce at the left corner of the packet! Usually a tom yum seafood fried rice wouldnt have any trace of tom yum sauce/soup. With that said, lots of seafood ingredients in this - there were prawns, squid, and fishballs (an usual ingredient though haha)
Prices listed above are based on grabfood prices, as I was trying to utilise a $20 grabfood voucher I had! If you are buying directly from the shop, the prices should be slightly cheaper!

🥭Fresh Fruit Yoghurt Series - Mango Yoghurt ($6.80): I was expecting this to be more sour than the other cup, but it was the other way round! Sweet fresh mango huge chunks in this drink! V flavourful drink, and the yoghurt was very smooth and creamy!

Enjoyed all the ricebowls! Very generous amount of rice, and all the ingredients were well seasoned and very flavourful! If you are one who prefers more variety in life, I will recommend the Hakka Karni Rice Bowl, because you get to try all the different items all in one bowl!

🌟Homemade potato salad ($2): This was super creamy and crunchy at the same time from the addition of cucumbers and carrots!
🌟Homemade coleslaw ($2): Very refreshing to have.
🌟Matcha pudding ($1.60): Very interesting choice of dessert here, and this was good!

This is my favourite min jiang kueh from yishun park Hawker centre! Ah Lock & Co. is a collaboration between Munchi Delights and Ah Lock Tofu, hence you are able to order munchi delights’ min jiang kueh from the same stall too!

I have been eating Once Upon a Thyme Spicy Meatball Penne for years (almost 4 years, from the clarke quay outlet to the novena outlet)! For the first time, decided to try out another item off their menu - seared salmon pesto pasta ($13)! Featured here is also their new packaging! (used to be in white boxes without a logo haha)
Comes with a very well seared and black peppered seasoned salmon, shiitake mushrooms, tomato cream, basil pesto and parmesan! There is a choice of penne or linguine. I am always for penne! Easier to eat!
The pasta portions were also very filling, it kept me full for 5 hours! I would have preferred the spicy tomato cream sauce instead though! And I actually thought the combination of tomato cream with basil pesto was kinda weird. I actually didnt mix them up much as I didnt want the tomato cream sauce taste to be disturbed.

Have been wanting to visit this eatery for a long time since I always frequent Funan mall area, but always putting it off because i found the price slightly ex for the ricebowla. Finally dropped by to try the food one fine day! Have read quite a few good reviews for the Fried Tofu Rice Bowl ($9.90) so decided to try it out! This rice bowl came with crispy coated fried tofu, scrambled egg, braised mushroom, furikake, seaweed and with miso soup. I will say portion wise it was filling. But it was not something super wow to me. Price was affordable because I had one for one with burpplebeyond , otherwise I will find the food slightly pricey. But for cityhall area standard, it is still one of the more affordable meal option choice.
