Was very excited about the whole “experience” with its theatrical serving methods! The chefs will ignite the oil to create a tall and dramatic fire flame! Before the fire experience, you will be given instructions on what to do such as wearing the paper apron, hands behind your back, hold on to the chair and lean backwards in case the fire is too much for you. No handphone is allowed when the fire pouring takes place. You can also pass your handphone to the staff who will put it up on a selfie stand to take a video of you with the fire ramen for the whole process! Throughout your meal, you can also continue to watch more fire throwing happening for other diners (their fire soundtrack will play and a drumroll will be heard right before the fire starts! haha)

The 1 for 1 burpplebeyond deal is for the $19.90++ set menu for shoyu / shitake vegetarian fire ramen. Comes with a hard boiled egg and a cup of iced/hot ocha. There is also the choice to upgrade the hard-boiled egg to lava runny egg; and ocha drink can be upgraded to iced matcha latte (so you only pay $19.90++ for two sets! Do note the 1 for 1 is only only available on mon-thur)

The ramen bowl comes with two slices of pork! Which we thought was quite good as most ramen places only serve one slice of pork. The ramen bowl also comes with LOTS of spring onions, corn and black fungus. Ramen noodles was cooked to perfection. As for the fire ramen broth, the “burnt” fire oil taste was too overpowering and heavy for me. From the first spoonful I took to the last spoonful, I just kept commenting over and over again “so smelly omg”! hahaha.. My partner also kept smelling burnt smell breath after the meal, but I didnt. My face just felt very oily after the meal as some of the fire droplets may have splashed to our foreheads (luckily got masks on)

I will recommend visiting once for the experience! Go now when there is 1 for 1 burpplebeyond deal to make your money worth it!

@clapcafe.sg has opened a few months ago and is on the @burpple beyond 1 for 1 list!

Decided to check the place out as we were around the area. A very nicely decorated chill place (with strong aircon), though the view is currently facing a under renovation side of the opposite coffeeshop.

Got the maple pecan tart ($9) and red velvet cake ($8) to try. Both cakes are served chilled. Pecan tart was filled with nutty pecans. The tart was the lighter yellow colour kind and crumbles a fair bit and reminds me of jenny butter cookies / pineapple tart crust. The red velvet which came with light cream cheese frosting was on the drier side and somehow the cake crumbles into super fine bits super easily and makes for messy eating if you are not eating it on a plate.

Cake choices here are pretty limited with only 4 to choose from (+ 2 other warm cakes). Their drinks seem to be more popular - think pumpkin latte.

To get 1 for 1 for the cakes, join burpplebeyond now! 30% off Burpple Beyond Premium plan! https://burpple.com/invite/MAND8435

Nasi Rempah Bento from @9spicessg (halal-certified)!

I am sure all of us are familiar with nasi lemak or nasi briyani, but what about Nasi Rempah! Nasi Rempah translates to “Spiced Rice” and it is a unique fusion between Nasi Lemak and Nasi Briyani! 🌟

🐟Nasi Rempah with Saba ($7): The saba was such a huge piece! It was also bbq grilled to perfection, very soft and fresh and drizzled with the sweet teriyaki sauce!

The rice used here is the basmati rice, and it was very well spiced and seasoned with spices like cinnamon and star anise. Very fragrant aromatic taste! The bento set comes with a choice of meat, cherry tomato, achar (which had sweet pineapples, cucumbers and carrots) and half a hard boiled egg! Along with the rice bento, you get a side of sambal which was mildly spicy, as well as a bowl of thick vege curry sauce dip to go with the aromatic rice. So you get three different taste in total for the rice! ❤️💛♥️

📍They are located at 302 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 Coffeeshop. Islandwide delivery is also available on GrabFood. Check them out now!

tried the Satay (mutton and chicken; 10 sticks for $8), which is available daily from 5pm-1am. The satay was grilled to perfection and had a flavourful tumeric taste. The satay sauce dip was also super nutty and went well with the satay skewers! 👍🏻

Items I tried:
🐤Nasi Rempah with Crispy Boneless Chicken Cutlet ($6): The fried chicken was marinated to perfection! I felt like I was eating KFC chicken! Finger licking good! What’s more, there is no bones, made for easy eating!
