🍰Don’t go without trying their cake desserts, because you will totally love their cakes! 💗

💜Orh Nee Cake ($7.90): Beautiful lilac shade of cream with smooth yam puree with light soft sponge cake. Natural sweetness and it didnt taste artificial at all!

💚Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($7.90): Another cake that you should not missed! Gula Melaka coconut strips layered in between light pandan sponge cake. This cake was sweeter than the orh nee cake, but not super sinful too.

📍Toby’s Kopi Toast Bakery!

If you are looking for affordable food in the west area, look no further! Situated at tradehub 21, @tobys_kopi_toast_bakery serves up delicious and afordable food!

🐥Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice ($6.90): This was soo soo good. Firstly, the portions were huge. The food was also served piping hot! I think this cutlet curry rice is sooo much nicer than scissors cut curry rice (plus the latter serves cold food for the two times i tried from their two different outlets)! Thick large slices of fried crispy well marinated spda biscuit coated chicken cutlet with a portion of cabbage and a very runny sunny side up! This runny sunny side up is the best sunny side up I have ever eaten! Love the curry and gravy sauce that was drizzled all over the rice too. So good that I was hoping the sauce portions could be greater so that I do not have to ration them out with my rice.

🐖BBQ baby ribs ($10.90): This is by far the most affordable bbq pork ribs I have ever seen in the market. The smoky BBQ sauce went well with the baby ribs, and the thick cut fries were crispy and well mixed with the chilli powder spice! This mains comes with a side of coleslaw too!

🥤If you order the mains, you also get to choose a complimentary drink like calamansi or water chestnut! Refreshing drink for the hot weather!

Im typically not a fan of cream cake or blackforest cake. It has also been years since i last bought anything from twelve cupcakes. But this was surprisingly good till i had 2 slices of it!

When store bought jasmine green tea is too main stream, bring it home and add a bottle of grape vitagen to it to zest it up! My first time mixing it with vitagen! Still tastes alright though yakult is preferred!

📍MABC at lucky plaza asia food mall store

Filipino style fried chicken. This was the max fried chicken combo meal ($9.40).

For the price point, i thought it was slightly too expensive with only one chicken drumstick. The fried chicken was also tooo fried and dry for me and the marination for chicken wasnt strong enough for me. but the thick cut fries were alright with the accompanying dip. Liked that they had the option for iced lemon tea!

Perhaps one can try the other combo meals instead if you are here! Heard the korean style and american style fried chicken are good!

The BEST satay in Singapore is boon lay satay (01-150) at boon lay place market and food village!

Was introduced to this stall years ago and i the eastie fell in loveeeeee with it! It is my must buy food whenever at boon lay market! The wait for it is always at least 30mins-1 hour super duper long! At 60 cents a piece, it is affordable and it has a huge portion of chicken meat! I like how there is noooo fats in the chicken satay! It is also very juicy, tender and soft! Their bbq skills is also good and their satay is only less than 10% chaotah.

Having raved so much about it, my parents had waited a super long time for me to dabao it back from boon lay all the way to the east! But alas, when it is dabao-ed and endured a 45mins journey; the satay wasnt as juicy and soft as how i remember it to be. So if you want to taste it at perfection, recommend to dine in instead of takeaway!
