These are the bowls we tried:
⭐super model: raspberries, strawberries, pumpkin seeds, granola, almonds
⭐iron man: blueberries, kiwi fruits, bananas, granola and almond

There was no queue when we arrived but had to wait for about 15mins while the bowl was being freshly prepared. The açai frozen purée was still not entirely melted even when we took it away and only ate it 40 plus mins later

The drinks are pre bottles. Picked iced melon honey for the drinks as well and thought it was a good choice!

Checking out new gelato place at midpoint orchard thanks to @burpple beyond! @playgelato is located just opposite 313 Somerset. I never would have stepped into midpoint orchard if not for the existence of this gelato shop đŸ€

Flavours I tried:
🍹over the moon 🌙: a mid autumn festival special. This was made with white lotus paste and osmanthus oolong topped with melon seeds. Decided to try it since it was quite an interesting flavour though I’m not a big fan of white lotus. The white lotus paste taste was too overpowering for me though and I couldn’t really taste any osmanthus oolong and neither did I see any melon seeds in my gelato. Not sure if it has been blended into a smooth mixture into a gelato

🍹 pistachio: a flavour that can never go wrong and one of my favourite flavours to get whenever getting gelatos. Love the roasted nuttty taste.

Single scoops are $5. Additional $1 for premium flavours (the nicer flavours (imo) are all classified under premium flavours haha). But we had 1 for 1 with burpplebeyond so the price is still ok for me to stomach 🙃

Couldn’t miss out on a good deal. Marche is now offering $1+ rosti for marche membership reward members! All you need to do is to sign up for a free membership account! The deal ends on 27 Aug and is valid for both dine in or takeaway! No min purchase required to enjoy this deal!

Love how they separated the sour cream from the rosti to keep it crispy! The rosti was also salted enough so no additional salt was needed!

Decided to get a @taicheongsg char siew polo bun ($2.80) as a meal today because everywhere had ridiculously long queuesss (and not like say the food is fantastic I really wanted to get). Wandered around the novena malls for a while before I decided why not try the savoury food from tai Cheong! Heng there wasn’t any long queue and the queue only formed after I ordered. Was having a hard time deciding between the chicken pie ($3) or the char siew polo bun and went for the latter instead because cheaper haha. Was wondering why the pie smaller but more expensive. But now I realised why because polo bun may look big but it is airy hollow inside hahaha!

The polo bun was packed nicely in a box and it was recommended for same day consumption or to heat up at 160 degrees for 10 mins the next day. But since the bun wasn’t hot already, I decided to just warm it up for around 4-5mins.

Either I was famished or too stressed with work, but this charsiew polo bun tasted heavenly. Especially love the buttery polo crust! Although charsiew was slightly fatty cut.

Back at Cocoboss again! But this time at the Jalan Besar new outlet!

additionally tried the salted caramel flavour this time round too in addition to the signature roasted and hazelnut ones. All were good! And somehow the “bites” this time round was really chunky too!

If I only the burpplebeyond deal allows me to claim the matcha coconut and avocado coconut drinks too! Will love to try those too!

1 for 1 with burpplebeyond! So I paid $6.90 for two drinks! Referral code to get 30% off the Burpple Beyond Premium plan! Sign up at https://burpple.com/invite/MAND8435 or use my referral code: MAND8435

Have always been eyeing western barbeque (# 01-53) at old Airport hawker for the longest time. But everytime when I was there the queue was either too long and I needed a quick meal or I was having sore throat or have some important meeting or exam coming up and can’t afford to get a sore throat. Finally tried it today but it was a mega major letdown. Ordered the chicken chop ($6.50) and when the meal was served after a 30mins wait I was just very puzzled by the order. Where was the old school bun? Where is the coleslaw? How come got sausage one, I didn’t order that? How come the chicken chop doesn’t have any sauce on it unlike what I saw on Instagram photos. Isn’t it supposed to be served with either like garlic sauce or the typical brown sauce for chicken chop? How come the chicken chop got no grilled chaotah parts one? How come the fries so white one. lol so many queries in my mind that we went back to clarify on our order (because I was afraid we got served the wrong order when I didn't order any add on sausage) and was just told that “bun æČĄæœ‰liao”. Not sure if it was permanently off the menu or only for tonight when they are out of stock on supply. A quick glance at what others were getting, most plates also just had the meat + fries + sausage, with no bun and coleslaw. I mean if you run out of ingredients you could have the courtesy of telling customers when they order or when the item is served?!! Plus the chicken chop and fries both tasted undercooked?! It just seems to be that they are hurrying to get out the orders due to the many customers waiting. Lol and yea lots of angry customers waiting around this evening. This is IMO a below average chicken chop. even the no name western stalls serve better chicken chop imo. Not sure if it is just today’s standard because of the busy queue. But well, the next time I’m back at old airport I will just stick to the other western stall holy grill which always has a super long wait and always sell out by the time I reach at 7+pm typically so haven’t had much luck eating that.

Tried out the tzechar from 7 wonders Seafood (Jalan Besar outlet) as there was one for one on burpplebeyond! Paid $16 for 4 mains!

đŸœmee goreng: this was the best item of all! Spicy till shiok! Noodles weren’t soggy mushy even though it was takeaway. Comes with fresh prawn, squid, sliced fish and clams!
