Checked out the new gelato stall in Bedok north! Small shop with one high table with 2 chairs and a bench. And it had a makeshift divider with the neighbouring bakery shop.

With the burpplebeyond 1 for 1, you get to enjoy two cups for the price of 1! We opted for the small gelato cup ($4.20; one flavour only; Additional 60cents for premium flavours like pistachio). Picked the coconut lychee and yuzu gelato.

Was expecting a lighter lychee taste but ended up it was more like 80% coconut and 20% lychee. Was slightly too sweet for me. The yuzu gelato was slightly sour in comparison. Overall our choice of the two flavours complemented each other quite well.

Do check out this place if you are in the neighbourhood!

Decided to visit @trehauscafe after our brunch visit at Tiong Bahru bakery. Because why pay full price for beverages when you can get it at 1 for 1

Trehaus cafe is located at the 7th floor of Funan mall. You need to take the lift from lobby A to get there. The place functions more as a kindergarten and office working area with a small cafe that sells drinks and small bites. If you visit the cafe during weekdays it will be quite noisy as there are kids in the kindergarten. And they happened to be having their lunch time too during our visit 😂

Back to the beverages. We got a hot chocolate and hot cappuccino. The menu at the cafe seems to be different from the menu listed on the Burpple app as there was no longer the option of nutty hot chocolate which was what I was eyeing.

And also, we were slightly disappointed with the latte art when served 😢 looked completely different from the other photos we saw on burpple. Guess it is a matter of luck on who is the barista staff for the day 🙊

The place was empty during our visit. So it is a nice place to chill around while waiting for your next appointments

Second time at shake shack (first visit at jewel outlet, second visit at Vivo outlet)! The aim was to try the Chick N Shack burger ($9.20) which wasn't on the menu 2 years ago when it just got launched! For a non beef eater, there is only the mushroom or chicken burger for you to choose from! For $9.20 for a burger, I must say it is really expensive! There is lotsss of lettuce and pickles given. So not great for me. Other than that, the chicken party was very well marinated (better than fatburger's supee dry and tasteless chicken burger) and the burger could do with more herb mayo sauce!

French fries ($4.50) is comfort food. Chunky and crinkle cut and served hot = 💯

These were the dishes I tried this time round:
-Pork Mix Toji Teishoku ($16.90++ or $14.90++ for ala carte): Half pork cutlet, one breaded pork and sliced pork on a hot plate
-Shogayaki Teishoku ($12.90++ or $10.9++ for ala carte): Stir fry pork belly in ginger sauce

While the Pork Mix Toji Teishoku was similar to the other Toji Teishokus which I have countless times before, I like this pork mix combo as you get both a fried pork cutlet and sliced pork! Best of both world! I like the soupy eggy broth to drench my rice in them!

It was my first time trying the Shogayaki Teishoku! When it got served, I thought it was weird that they gave a side of mayo sauce to go with the ginger sauce pork belly. But oh my, it was the best combination ever and I loved it! I also like that the ginger sauce wasnt tooo gingery, so I could enjoy the dish still!

It was also the first time the service staff came round to explain their signature dishes to us, and I got to know that they pride themselves in the RICE and MISO SOUP! Wow, that is a very bold statement to make, to say that your RICE is good. But omg, the rice is really good! No wonder I find myself being a rice bucket and finishing up my rice everytime I dine here!

Coconut shakes from @cocoboss.sg !

Have been eyeing such coconut shakes for the longest time, but a little too pricey for my pockets. When coco boss appeared on the burpplebeyond 1 for 1 list, I knew it was the perfect time to check it out!

Besides choosing the flavours, you get to customise your drinks like a bbt by choosing the sugar level, toppings and whether you want the coconut to be in bits or chunks!

🌴signature roasted coconut, 35%, chunky: got this so that we can try how the original coconut shake tastes like! Would have went for 0% sugar actually but friend likes sweet stuff so.. to be honest I couldn’t tell any difference between the chunks or bits. Guess it is a super minute difference haha

🌴hazelnut coconut, 0%, bits: woah I really love this. The hazelnut added a very fragrant flavour to the coconut shake. Although friend who tried it with me didn’t really like the hazelnut taste overpowering the coconut, I really loved this!

(Tip: get your coco boss from Marine Parade outlet and bring it with you to East Coast park for picnic / sambal stingray feast at East Coast lagoon hawker - which was what we did! 🤗)

Original price is $6.90 each. One for one with burpplebeyond now! referral code to get 30% off the Burpple Beyond Premium plan! Sign up at https://burpple.com/invite/MAND8435 or use my referral code: MAND8435
