Have been eyeing on nutella on the rack when doing grocery shopping. Hence, this goes without saying that Nutella Waffle (RM22) it is! To my dismay, can hardly taste any nutella... 😔 The waffle is like the fluffy waffle + crepe type so it's more "stretchy" and and chewy type. If you are a fans of crispy waffle, it's definitely not for you.
Breakfast Platter at RM29, which is moderately priced in Klang Valley cafes. As you can seen from the photo, you get your accustomed big breakfast items, slices of bread, eggs (we chose scrambled eggs), sausages, bacons, sautéed mushrooms; with the exception of avocado. There isn't anything worth mentioning on the plate, everything tastes very bland and very basic, without adding any flavour to it.
MJ White Coffee at RM14.50, which I think it is priced at the steeper side. Having said that, I enjoyed every single sip of this coffee and it's amost unstoppable after my first sip. I was taken by surprise how smooth and creamy it is. You don't get fancy coffee art but it's one quality cuppa.
Gotta agree with me this is one scrumptious looking Blueberry Cheesecake 🍰 that I purchased from W Mart yesterday. For RM9, they are lavished with the blueberries on top. I'm a sucker for dense cheesecake. For me, this cheesecake is not cheesy enough, and it's a bit too sweet. Somehow I think they substitute the cheesecake to condensed milk? Hence it's sweeter and still dense enough to hold the texture... But for that price, ain't complaining 🙆🏻♀️
I'd go so far to say this is 8.5/10 which is fairly decent considering it's only 20 over bucks 👍🏽 The Honey Butter Garlic Pork is so honey-ly sweet and so butteryyy! I always wrap my BBQ meat with lettuce and eat it with garlic, pepper and gochujang. But it's such a waste eating with its cause you can't really taste the buttery and sweetness from it... It's so nice eating on its own.
Whenever I'm in a Korean restaurant in mood for carbs, Kimchi Fried Rice it is (RM19.90) comes with seaweed soup and refillable banchan. I was craving for some cheesy rice (in my mind was thinking of fried rice surrounded by cheese ring like those dalgakbi), so requested to add on with cheese (another additional RM5). At the end, when they said cheese is added it's just your usual kraft cheddar cheese mixed in which was super dissapointing. The stickiness of the fried rice is on point and stir fried with tons of pork cube. Hence it is super filling. It certainly isn't "sour" enough to my liking to be called kimchi fried rice.
I swap its white bread with sourdough with an extra charge. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is enormous. This is one huge pumped up maryland chicken! layered with crispy pork bacon. And the sunny side up is an icing on the cake, it added some moisture to the sandwich. Love how tender and juicy the chicken, however not sure isn't the seasoning... It tasted a bit funny (lol). Fries is good! I can eat a basket of it on my own!
Deng Deng Deng Deng ~! Proudly present the best Hokkaido Pork Don in town, it's best paired with half-boiled egg in my opinion (RM23.90). Each and every single bite of the rice is drenched with the running yolk on top after you burst it (yolk porn) and mix it altogether. The chargrilled pork slices are really the best and nowhere can beat the charcoal fragrant. Gotta credit to the loaded pork slice on top, it's super filling and I think it can easily feed two people (unless you have huge appetite like me 🙈) The Don set comes with a side salad with sesame sauce and miso soup.
Fried rice quinoa (RM19.90) and added chicken breast (RM7) for some extra protein for muscle growth 😉💪🏼 It tastes as good as your calorie-loaded fried rice out there. Can you believe the fried rice quinoa is only 249kcal (not taking into account the chicken breast)?! Like the whole concept of La Juiceria, eating healthy does not mean you have to compromise on its flavour and taste of food.
Seems like everyone is switching to healthier lifestyle, which is no doubt a positive phenomenon. I opted TUNA as my main, Brown rice for carb, with 4 choices of vegetable (red cabbage, corn, cucumber and red onion) and 2 sauces (RM20.90). Small serving of tuna... as far as I can remember less than 6 cube size. The vegetable is no doubt fresh and served cold, but the sauces are too overwhelming.
They called this "Gimmari". Basically it's deep fried seaweed roll wrapped with glass noodles. If you've tried sundae before, both of them have very similar taste. Very crispy and tasty!
It's so aesthetically satisfying to just look at these overflowing egg. Gotta agree with me ey?
