Amazed by how good the croissant based bakes are here - these were works of art with their almost symmetrical layers
Cannot wait to be back to try more from the menu

Finally no snaking queue on a Saturday evening, mum postulated because it’s the school holidays and many families may be travelling.
Fortunately she then gets to try one of her favourite cuisines in our hood. There are not many Korean food establishments around Singapore serving our favourite Jokbal, unless you make your way to the Tanjong Pagar/ (maybe) Bukit Timah Korean enclaves, so we were delighted when we could find it here. The sweetened marinate and slow cooked trotter was good and i wish there was more “collagen”.
The highlight however was the crisp thin pancakes here that are pleasant unctuous mouthfuls with each bite. Maybe many other Korean restaurants around could sought tutelage from here to serve real Korean jeons.
Boy is mum glad we have good Korean food in the neighbourhood now.

While recovering from a week of good food in Northern Vietnam, we had to still celebrate Dad’s 62nd birthday in Singapore.
This year it was a drive to Sentosa to visit Fiamma for the publicised hearty Italian food from chef Mauro from 3 Michelin starred Mirazur.
You can hardly go wrong with wood fire pizzas but what we were more impressed with was the blue lobster Tagliatelle. The fresh house-made pasta cooked in a tomato confit was classic genius, a richer flavoured crustacean with tangy fresh tomato.
In the interlude between food, we also adored the bottle of 2017 Brunello di Montalcino we had because what is a birthday without wines these days 😶
Ending off I could not miss Dad’s favourite dessert and gratefully the tiramisu here sealed his birthday dinner. Excellent soaked lady finger biscuits that my amateur, though he finds thoughtful, homemade ones can never compete against; and smooth mascarpone with a good taste of Amaretto. Mamma mia~

Would you believe me if I said this was my first shake shack burger in Singapore?
There are clear reasons why the establishment has steadily grown to 9 outlets across our little red dot. Firstly these were some of the freshest burgers I’ve had of late with a nicely grilled beef patty, exuberant looking and fresh vegetables with this tangy chopped red peppers I adored in my hamburger.
Our orders also came swiftly (<10 min) even with a relative full house and I loved the help yourself to condiments kiosks, this is quality fast food that you’d gladly pay a premium for.

Oh hello new Mexican joint on my radar, your food is worth returning for. While I doubt the taco wraps are made in house, they are tasty. The fish tacos here are also to die for with nicely battered fish fillets, fresh slaw and chipotle aioli sauce.
Your mains of pork ribs had slightly tough meat but otherwise the flavors from the sauce made up tremendously.
Cheese quesadillas are difficult to go wrong with and yours here are in my dining companion’s words “like cheese prata”; a healthier version I corrected with a lot more cheese and a slightly discordant rich sour cream dip.

We come back again and again for Latin American food, the menu is extensive and soft tacos reliable. Today I wanted something light and went for a “cooked” salad in the Verduras a la Plancha.
If you love cassava chips, you would adore the yucas fritas that are soft mashed cassava balls with a crispy cost - utterly satisfying I wish there was more. This is now a hot favourite beside the crunch worthy patata bravas here that are like elevated freshly cooked potato chips.
P.s: each yucas fritas order comes with 6 pieces, 2 have been eagerly stolen and in the stomachs of my dining companions before the photo could be taken.

For (self-proclaimed) bread connoisseurs like me, you really do not leave panamericana without an order of the sourdough, freshly baked and utterly satisfying. Then besides that, we continued our meal here with fun classic starters like Patatas Bravas and Charred Cauliflower Florets. The patatas bravas here are crispy potato chunks with a delicious aioli sauce and the cauliflower comes with a complementing purée and salsa.
For the mains both the well marinated and succulent Colombian chicken as well as the wood-fired chopped lamb were crowd pleasers.
The space is a 10/10 recommendation for a getaway like celebratory meal. Only caveat I’d recommend driving.
