Nothing else I need to say except holy moly my tastebuds are on fire π π₯π₯π₯ I love how they make their sushi in little bite size pieces because let's be real, sometimes sushi, despite all the glory in its appearance, is almost impossible to stuff into the mouth. But here, one mouthful is packed with a punch from the dollop of aburi mentai sauce, creaminess from the avocado, crunch from the cucumber and a thick roll of fresh salmon inside and on top (or if you order soft shell crab then it adds to the crunch inside) rly rly wholesome bite although it is a little pricy at $18++ for the soft shell crab salmon aburi roll and $16++ for the classic salmon aburi roll. I will pay for the quality though, and I will definitely come back~~~~
This place is rly brilliant for coming up with the idea of eating with your hands and for literally dumping all the food on the table with no plates, just a tablecloth. Got the first bag for $88 with clams, crabs, prawns, corn, potato, sausages and a whole lot of garlic butter sauce. Packed full of flavor, we even coupled this combo with additional Cajun fries and garlic soy chicken wings, both were so crispy and flavor intense π π π rly enjoyed the meal and it didn't leave us full so that means space for desert hehe
$15.90 for a standard nalu with a choice of two fish, salad or rice, 2 toppings and 1 superfood surely sounds like a good deal to me :-) got the spicy salmon and original ahi tuna on a bed of salad, topped with fish roe, avocado and cherry tomatoes!!!! Although I felt that the seasoning on the fish was a bit too salty, it was nonetheless fresh and aloha was generous with their portions! I will come back here again, because this place not only offers healthy yet flavorful bowls but is an excellent place to go to chill with friends
An experience worth every cent!!! Don't tell mama has a promotion currently running till the end of September where if you like and share their page, you get a one for one sojurita (essentially a bottle of soju and a margarita of your choice) this means you are saving $25!!! In addition, I went the liquid buffet ($28 for women, $35 for men) and that means free flow nachos and 9 types of margaritas!!!!! We also bought a bulgogi quesadilla ($18) and truffle fries ($8) because this place is a Korean Mexican fusion and boy were they delicious π π π the strong truffle taste coupled with the soft yet crisp fries as well as the mildly sweet but cheesy beef bulgogi quesadilla rly complemented the alcohol. No wonder this place was crowded even on a Thursday night!!!! But really, if you are looking for a place with pumped up music, an excellent ambience, tasty food and well-made drinks without putting a hole in your pocket, this is the place to go :-)
Decided to order a soft serve and egglet with 2 toppings for $7.90!!!!!! The soft serve was a much lighter and less creamy version of macdonals' vanilla cone, topped with caramelised banana, crushed peanuts and a salted caramel sauce. As if that does not sound good enough, make that even better by topping the entire soft serve with a chocolate drippled peanut encrusted freshly made egglet π π π truly a dessert fit for a king (or in this case, queens????) it was rather large so it is good for sharing and it left us truly satisfied :-) would give it an 8/10!!!! Except service is a little slow hehe
Decided to visit pasarbella again at suntec!!!! This time we ordered a strawberry basil lemonade ($4.50) , strawberry and classic mojito (both were $15 each), sun kissed salmon ($16+ from Rollie Olie) and the short ribs truffle bowl ($14.50 from Grillo) with a side of sweet potato fries ($3 also from Grillo). This time, I was truly impressed, both of us were. The sushi was stuffed well with ingredients, the short ribs bowl had such an enticing truffle taste, the mojitos were heavily laced with rum (but not too overwhelming) and the fries were crispy with every bite π π π π yay pasarbella you have redeemed yourself !!!!! The servings were all in good portions and so worth it !!!!! I am now vvvv happy, especially since this was sort of a celebratory meal after the end of one of the major school exams ^^ #BurppleCheapNGood
Hands down, the best Chirashi don I have eaten. Except, the most expensive as well HAHAHAHA but priced at $40, the amount of fish they give is insane!!!! 1 part rice to 2 parts fish, you can tell how much fish they give :-) also, the $40 includes two mini appetizers and a dessert which to me, makes it all the more worth the money. It feels like a mini omakase meal to me πππ For all who wants their Chirashi fix, this is defo the place to go!!!
Wow !!!!! I am actually so impressed by this place. It is rather hard to find bc it is actually located in this huge place called FIVE and it occupies a small little corner but it's worth the trip. For $15.50, no extra GST or service charge, you can pick a protein (some proteins have additional charges but in this case, pulled pork doesn't!!!), a base (I got a salad base) and 5 additional ingredients. Plus the bowl is rly huge, the ingredients are plenty and they don't skimp on the quality or anything. I was extremely satisfied finishing this big bowl of goodness and am already looking forward to my next visit ππΌ #BurppleCheapNGood
Visited The Loof for the second time yesterday and it has certainly lived up to its reputation of being one of singapore's nicest rooftop bars :-) we visited during happy hour, which means $5 drinks!!!! (From 5-5.59pm) From there it's $6 from 6-6.59pm and so on, you get the point ππΌππΌ the mixers were definitely value for money with that distinct alcoholic taste in every sip. The food was really good too. We ordered truffle fries ($14) and power wings ($12 during happy hour, $18 after) both fried to perfection, crispy yet non-greasy, the perfect combination ^^ The Loof has definitely made its way up to the top of my list for bars :-) so anytime anyone is interested to relax after a long day, head over here!
In a large bowl, there is a giant fillet of unagi, and little pockets of bean sprouts, pickled beetroot and roasted pumpkins around, topped with an onsen egg, all for $16 (net price bc there is no service charge here) One can add $2 for a serving of carbs eg. rice/quinoa($3) In the other large bowl, there is a 24 hour braised beef cheek, with baby corn, sundried tomatoes, bean sprouts and another onsen egg, all for $14 :-) this small cafe is definitely one to watch for its generous portions, tasty ingredients and lovely atmosphere. Who is up for seconds? ππΌππΌππΌ
Shiok mama π π green tea bingsu for $13.80!!!! Tbh pretty worth it bc the portion was big (enough for 2-3) and filled with matcha flavor, nuts, red bean and topped with a giant scoop of matcha ice cream :-) honestly no regrets ordering this although I would rly like to try the premium mango cheese one ($18++) next time. One of the better bingsu-s that I have tried for the price, flavor and size, 10/10 would recommend
Tried the triple three buffet today !!!! Because 1-1 for some debit/credit card deal made it rly worth it :-) tbh was expecting a lot more, the reviews and photos I saw pre-buffet were way more extravagant and mouthwatering but perhaps it was because the lunch and dinner spread is different. Nonetheless, the food was tasty, although at times I felt that I didn't know what to get because the options were limited. I would say taste wise 7-8/10 but range wise 6???? Didn't have as much sushi/roasts etc. as I expected but then again, perhaps they would rather compromise on the quantity than quality!! Service was good and overall, food was not bad!!! Prolly won't pay $80++ for this though
