A dish like Singapore char kuay teow. An American version of it and furthermore the restaurant provided 4 different kinds of Thai Chilli which was holy crazy spicy. The portions were kinda crazily huge and definitely worth it price with the excellent service the Thai lady was giving us. Will be back for their other dishes one day!

You might be wondering what is this weird looking food, but it actually a dumpling that has wrapped a quail egg and a shrimp in it. Just an interesting food I stumbled upon and it was pretty decent! Can't imagine what can go wrong but the shrimps were nevertheless fresh!

Newly found favorite vermicelli located at Aberdeen, Hong Kong! It's spring roll is so delish you won't believe it. It was a mixture of fishball and shrimps mashed up together to give it a unique texture. The soup was well balanced, not too sour or spicy just the right mix. The table also has its own freaking spicy belachan looking chilli that burns with every scoop. Sorry I just have to find chili in everything I eat but this is really good stuff not to be missed! It also has a branch in Mongkok!

Mak wasn't open early so I took the nearest stall that had what I wanted. Well after I went in I saw a group of guys ordering in large portions wearing only t shirts and slippers. I guess Singaporeans just don't care about the weather haha. The braised beef sauce was really good and at 39 HKD it comes with 5 huge wonton which is pretty much worth it. I seriously enjoy the noodles in Hong Kong as their uneven thickness sometimes shows how some of their noodles are still made by bamboo and it had a freaking good texture to it. I found it a little plain after the sauce ran out and I took a scoop of chili from the table, gosh it was so freaking spicy after I walked away from the shop for 10 minutes my mouth was still burning! A good alternative to my all time favorite!

I've always had trouble dealing with fried chicken due to many reasons; getting my hands dirty, a sore throat after the meal, just taste like oily chicken. However, this Korean fried chicken was exceptionally good. Not only that I didn't have a sore throat after the meal, the tenderness and crispy taste of it made me a new fan of fried chicken. Now I know where else I can suggest when people wants to eat KFC!!

One of the best hand made noodles I have ever eaten. To my surprise, they now have a stall 5 mins away from my house and they even had a new rendition of the dish! As you can see from the picture, the meatballs are crazily huge, and to my surprise, this meatballs ACTUALLY has minced meat in it! It's like an "inception" one bite of the ball giving you two textures and the juices were just... amazing. The egg soup is still my favorite way of drinking an egg + a pork broth. $5.50 is crazy worth in my case, now I secretly hope that they gave me more noodles!

The ribs were large and generous, with the champagne sauce fairly spread all over itself. Not sure whether the almonds are supposed to be on the dish but it added a crunchy taste to the pork ribs. Not a dish that one must try but never less a decent one. It has the right sweetness and cooked to the right texture. ($12.80, $18.80)

It was meant to feature 4 vegetables but I can't really determine the fourth one. It has long beans, lady finders and eggplant. The food has a unique taste due to the different textures by the individual components. The crispy taste of the silver fish, softness of the eggplant and slight crunchiness of the long beans allowed the whole dish to be very refreshing with every bite. Moreover it was laid with Thai chilli sauce and made the flavors combination an interesting one for me. ($8.80, $12.80)

Basically a hor fun without dark soy sauce and layered with bean sprouts and fish slices. It was above average but it couldn't stand out from the rest of the amazing dishes. ($6.80, $12.80)

Another highlight of the evening. The wine/broth of the Lala was pretty decent and it went really well with the Lala. The Lala is also of top quality as they are not those usual ones we see in seafood bbq places, these were the flower patterned one and the meat was very much "juicier" than the normal ones! ($15.80, $20.80)

Astonishingly, this was the best dish of the evening for me. The prawns were large and crunchy, filled with freshness with every bite. The pumpkin sauce felt like a younger brother to the usual salted egg sauce but it felt much healthier and less strong. Certainly a must order when I'm here again! ($18.80, $28.80)

A well-balanced dish whose sambal wasn't overwhelming, instead it was rather sweet and spicy. The Sotong felt fresh, easy to chew and plentiful. Overall a good dish to complement the fish head steamboat! $11.80, $17.80
