Having frens who strongly recommend this place I had to check this place out myself. It was the ramen that is the best of its kind to me. I chose the correct texture of the noodles and it was damn good! The soup base along with its special sauce were full of flavor. Despite regretting ordering 2x chili sauce I still enjoyed my ramen very much. At 89HKD, this won't fill your stomach but it certainly does make one feels dam satisfied with the taste of their food! Service was real awesome along with their special "clear" water which was refreshing and easy to refill. I would recommend the booth type of sitting to have the full Ichiran experience!

$28 HKD wonton mee. I was too early to eat those solid wanton mee nearby so I just settled for the neighborhood ones. Well 4 wontons were considered as plenty here in hk and I won't consider it really good. So just a 2.5/5, don't recommend eating here again as I found some unwanted stuff in the soup too :/

3/5. A decent dish reasonably priced at $118 HKD, although salmon was a little disappointing as it was too thin and wasn't well smoked. The plus point was the cream pasta which was very different from the baked rice. It was a little sweet and cheesy and I liked it a lot, the angel hair thickness helped brought out the flavor of the sauce too!

Strongly recommended by many online, I went in and gave this $168 HKD baked rice a try. On the first bite, I already gave it 4/5 stars as the cheese was well cooked and the oysters being freaking fresh. Perks of eating seafood on the islands are that they are of a certain quality although expensive! The rice was well baked and it wasn't too sticky and felt easy to eat in the mouth! However the serving was too big for two and we couldn't finish it :/ (6 oysters were gobbled in this plate)

Walked through some jungle trek in Lamma Island and there you go: one old granny selling tau huey under some old metal shelter. It is so famous that everyone who treks on the island would certainly pay this stall a visit. Having tried other tau Huey in hk I would say that this is a little different from the others in terms of sugar. This sugar was slightly more sweet and had a richer taste to it compared to those in the main city area! (But a little too sweet for me)

I usually eat rice slowly so that I could control the portions of rice that goes into my mouth. However this one made me lose control. That salty taste that the prawn paste brought into the rice was ridiculously good! I prefer salt to sugar so I can't really make a fair judgement on this. All I can say is that I finished the whole plate in minutes and the mini shrimps were crunchy and there were plenty of them!

Good stuff at $85 HKD. Those dumplings were crispy and had shrimps and mushrooms within them. I found them a little small but the quality was there. The fish cakes were one of the most fresh and smooth ones I ever ate. It doesn't have the plasticky feel at all and incredibly felt like eating fish with that fresh fish paste covered by the skin!

A little pricey at $25 HKD, the oyster was a really Shiok thing to eat in this hipsterish village in Hong Kong. The cheese given was generous, however the oyster size underneath did not meet my expectations despite being real fresh!

Manned by a single elderly uncle or aunty, this Yong tau foo stall is known to us as the "expensive YTF". However this is really a good deal, and what my colleagues and I don't mind paying extra for. The noodles given were generous, ingredients and add ons huge. The selection that it offers ranges from laksa to Hakka minced pork noodles. Definitely a place that I will remember for some crazy awesome YTF during internship! #hawkerpedia

Another sinful night, I had applied too much batam green chili that resulted in the torment in the toilet this morning...

Fried chicken Hat Yai style, priced at $7.80, I consider this as a good value. The fried chicken was crispy and tender, the only fault I have with it that it was a tad salty, however when dipped into the chili sauce that comes with it, it was still acceptable. The best way to describe this would be that it is similar to the Verasamy Road fried chicken wings with chicken rice chili, that pile of sinful oily, salty, spicy taste with each crunch. (4.5/5)

First of all this Dish is not on the menu. I had accompanied a colleague for his special meal and this was one of the best foie gras I ever ate in my life. As a poor chap, I was never able to afford food of such high standard, so many thanks to @larvitar for sharing this. The charcoal bun is made with the chef's secret formula with a private bakery, it had the unique texture that compliments the fatty juices so well such that it was both wet and crispy. The owner/chef also mentioned that he would be bringing in a new dish with foie gras but of course he can't possibly sell a $50 plus dollars foie gras at $20, hence it would be of a lower quality. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back to try it out. #tryalltheirfood #conquerthebetterfield
