(Da jie Wonton mee). Right at the corner of the road, situated this stall that was featured on TV for having long queues for their food. Wontons were small but plenty, above average for me, gotta eat it again for a better evaluation!

Tonight's dinner was an adventure for me as I ordered this wonton mee with medium risk as there were much negative online reviews. Maybe it was the low expectation I previously had but it was actually pretty decent! Noodles were a little hard to chew, I ordered the Tom yam version which is basically just sweet and spicy(not any special). The slices of roasted pork were acceptable and what I had found good was its wonton which was relatively larger than average. It would be unfair to compare this to those I had in bangkok but maybe where I really crave for Thai style wonton mee during work, I would pay them a visit again!
At $9.90, this bowl of pho-like noodles, with some kway Teow felt like a mixture of Vietnamese Thai food as its soup base had a little spicy, sour yet refreshing taste . Particularly liked it along with its fresh shrimps and seafood! It's spring rolls were pretty decent too! Not your traditional Thai food but still a good variation!
Although the name says wonton, the main highlight of the breakfast was actually the char siew!
Apart from charging me $4 instead of $3 for the default price, this bowl of noodles sold by a couple in their mid forties near the fruit juice stall in tekka food centre was pretty delicious! It's chili had the old school spicy taste that is rarely found nowadays (there is one similar one at north bridge hawker by an elderly couple). The rest of the dish was pretty above average and if not for the sim lim food court's renovation I wouldn't have stumbled upon this.
Waffles were soft and crispy, very much to my liking. However the combination of vanilla and cookies and cream made the whole desert a little too sweet. Do ask the staff for recommendations on the different combinations!
Curry was pretty decent for this one and the beef wasn't too hard to chew. Slightly better than average than those normally available out there
One of the better ones out there with their crispy tofu skin and chewy texture. Dipping in their sweet sauce and belachan just made everything even better!
The highlight for today's lunch! The picture doesn't do justice to the food as the fish was really fresh and the serving was rather generous! Curry was of top notch standard with its rich flavor and moderate spiciness!
The base yogurt was really good, however the milo powder that was sprinkled on it did not compliment well...
