The chicken patty was a tad too dry and hard. Also, it wasn't spicy as described. Somehow, BBBS has been kinda disappointing for the 2 times I've tried. Damage for the burger: $13.90 nett

Birthday dinner at JPOT. The restaurant was relatively empty - in fact it was only half filled. The Tom yam soup base wasn't fantastic and is not worth a 2nd try next time. Wouldn't mind going for the herbal again. JPOT is actually quite an expensive option for hotpot since it's based on ala carte pricing. But definitely a cheaper alternative to HDL. Total damage after members discount: $35 per pax

Having this bowl of wholesome poké bowl salad at 8.30pm was indeed satisfying! I like that they offer whole almonds as toppings and are generous with it. You also get 1 complimentary superfood to go with your bowl. In pic: Standard Nalu ($15.90) comes with 2 scoops 150g of poké, salad, edamame, almonds and avocado. They added some pineapples on the top for the haiwaiian zest. Oh, and help yourselves to the assorted fruits infused water at no additional cost!

Finally got to try this Michelin BCM after queuing for 40 minutes on a Tuesday evening. Portion is a little small for $6 but it's just nice to feed my tummy. The BCM comes with 2 pieces of 扁鱼, 2 pork balls, 1 dumpling, tender slices of pork and liver, and minced pork. I guess how it stands out from the many BCM elsewhere is their sauce - strong vinegar taste and of course their specialty sauce. I asked for extra chili but a pity it didn't taste spicy at all. Worth the try though!

This stall sells simple Tze Char dishes like leafy greens, prawn paste chicken, pork ribs rice and of course their signature hor fun! Started queuing at 6.30pm and I finally got my food in 30 minutes. The hor fun comes with silky gravy and the kway teow has that "wok hei" taste. 👍 And most importantly I don't taste garlic in it. 😅 Ingredients are decent too! Damage: $4

Have been to this pizza chain 3 times in the last one year. All because of the delicious thin crust pizzas and of course the 1-for-1 deals on the Entertainer App! $24++ for 2 large pizzas and who's to say this ain't a good deal?

4 large pizzas, 1 calamari and 1 coke: total damage $65. What a steal!

Long queues are always seen in front of the stall during meal timings, probably because they only make upon orders. They are not stingy with the ingredients, however, the gimbaps are not rolled tight enough - the ingredients came falling out bit by bit. Each roll is cut into six pieces and here I am with my Smoked Salmon ($6) and Avocado ($5)!

Seoul Roll is currently on the Entertainer App and it means 1-for-1 rolls!

We headed from the Nonya Cake Shop to the cafe. Arrived at 2pm plus, and was told that we would need to wait for at least one hour. There were at least 4 big tables which were still waiting for their food to be served. We decided to just wait and thankfully the food was good! But definitely not worth the 1 hour wait. Even after the meal, we still couldn't figure out why the kitchen was so slow in the food preparations.

Tips: If you are thinking of going to their nonya cake shop, send someone over to the cafe to place order and get seats first! Otherwise you would need to wait for at least an hour too.

Dishes ordered: kueh pie ti, fu yong omelette, salted veg duck soup, otah, rendang chicken, chap chai, sambal fish

First visit to this tze char place hidden in a nice corner of Pasir Panjang. It wasn't very crowded when we arrived but had to wait for about 20 mins for all the dishes to be served up. Food serving may look small but they were sufficient to feed 9 adults. Generally service was good. Total damage: $10/pax including drinks

Dishes ordered: creamy curry pork ribs, oyster omelette, stir fried nai bai, yam ring, prawn paste chicken, deep fried squid

Must try: Creamy curry pork ribs and oyster omelette.

The top layer of this bee hoon is crispy and gives people the feel that it's burnt (Chao ta in hokkien). It goes absolutely well with the sambal chilli! It's one unique dish and kinda resembles the famous jb san lou bee hoon.
