famous for their chicken rice (which is absolutely delicious), this little store serves pretty decent Zichar too!!! Wide variety of choices and most of them sound pretty interesting. The 12$ Chinese spinach with assorted eggs was especially delicious GAHA we even finished the soup bc it was that flavorful yum!!! If you are a fan of salted egg then the 12$ salted egg sotong is a must get! love how the salted egg coating is so thick and crispy! The 11$ hainanese pork chop was alright but not too impressive GAHA loved the sauce but it just tasted like fried pork cutlets. The 16$ herbal drunken prawns however were really really disappointing :-( I swear you could smell the herbs from miles away but the flavour didn't seep into the meat at all and the prawn turned out to be really bland and tasteless :-( DO NOT GET THAT DISH GUYS the cereal prawn / salted egg prawn seemed like much better options
really in love with this beef brisket on toast!!!!! I thought the egg would be nicer scrambled (bc atlas does amazingly creamy scrambled eggs) tho haha but the beef was sooo tender and juicy! it was seasoned Asian style and that was rather cool bc I felt like I was having an angmoh style breakfast but with a nicely added homely feel 😌 definitely worth the try guys!!!! would pick this dish and the butterscotch pancake as my favourite dishes from Atlas
couldn't decide between the keylime and the lemon meringue and in the end we chose keylime because we didn't want something too sweet. I really love the strong citrusy sour-y taste to this pie but I still thought it was slightly too sweet. The flavours came on a little too strong so downing one whole pie by yourself may get abit gelat.
sooo rich sooo creamy sooo thick and the durian is incredibly fresh as well! definitely no better way to end crazy good zichar meal from the hawker centre right opposite hehe the other desserts weren't as impressive but the durian mousse is definitely worth every single cent SO HEAVENLY
why pay 30$+ in restaurants when you can get equally good pork knuckle at friggin 18 BUCKS!!!! the deep fried pork knuckle was insanely good sigh skin was super super SUPER crispy while the meat remained tender and juicy. seasoned to perfection as well!!!! definitely one of the best zichar places I've been to :-)
JeEEEeeEeZ these are simply heavenly!!!!! sauce was creamy and rich which went so well with the juicy and chewy king prawn!!! prawn was so fresh and the fried skin added a nice crunch VERY YUMZ
BACK AT ATLAS and their waffles r amazing!!! got the earl grey one and tbh can't really taste the earl grey but the amazing texture makes up for it all man :-) it was so so SO crispy but yet so fluffy in the middle and the salted caramel added a nice toffee flavor!!! I thought the strawberries were out of place but other than that this waffle deserves a 11/10 man super worth the $12!
substandard photo and lousy plating but this little place serves pretty good burgers! got ourselves the Mexican Burger $15 and the Bacon Burger (also their signature dish) $17 and they were both pretty good! super juicy beef patties that were well marinated sandwiched between nicely toasted buns! Poached egg on the bacon burger also gave it a unique texture and flavor :-) wouldn't recommend the Mexican burger as it tasted like a normal beef burger (a good one though) bc way too little sauce :-( i thought the fries deserve special mention bc it has a hint of paprika which spiced up the otherwise boring pile of potato :-) (choose the brioche bun if u r fan of cheese and go for the oat bun if you like clean burgers)
slightly expensive as we added the scrambled eggs but the scrambled eggs were amazing and really one of the best I've had! Unbelievably creamy and silky; seasoned to perfection! The mushrooms however, were not as outstanding even though it was supposed to be the star of the dish. Serving size is rather small as well for a $15 platter! (I know it looks big but everything is just nicely spread out, the layers are actually really thin) This is could give artistry's scrambled eggs a run for their money! Flat white was great (really low on acidity) but took really long to come :-( it came when we were almost done with our food!!! minus points for that :- (
So I thought atlas was going to be another one of those overrated cafes but NOPE sure it was very crowded which kindda ruined the ambiance a little BUT the food was so so so SO good this is climbing up my fav list!!!! This hugantic pancake was not gelat at all and the butterscotch flavor was so strong it was absolutely delicious. It had the crunchy edge and the pillowy centre like a good pancake would AND THE MOST DELICIOUS CORNFLAKE BITS ever! really worth the wait and the price :-)!! the only downside is that the proportion could be improved as I had a huge chunk of pancake left after that! (or maybe I just gobbled up the delicious honey coated cornflakes too quickly) I would say this is better than the hotcakes that everyone has been having!!!!
(1-for-1 on the entertainer app!!) we were quite disappointed initially because we realized the app can only be used on mains which were quite limited and the dishes we wanted to try were in the brunch menu :-( among the list of pastas and carbs-loaded food, we managed to pick out 2 slightly interested ones - seafood tomyum risotto and lobster sandwich. Personally didn't like the dollop of sauce on the lobster roll but the meat was chewy and fresh! Toast lacked the crisp but had a nice hint of spice unlike a usual boring piece of bread. The risotto however, was delicious on a whole new level!!! Well seasoned and spiced with a thick, creamy version of the usual light tomyum. Generous serving of seafood which was fresh but could do with a little more seasoning. The ambiance is GREAT and perfect if for a chill catchup / nice date night :-) slightly expensive for cafe food but honestly very worth the price!
