Ginza Kagari, Echika Fit Ginza

After reading up on their most famous dish and seeing people ordering this while i ordered the dipping soba, i came here for a second visit! >.>

I was served with this bowl of rich, thick and creamy chicken broth(Tori Paitan (鶏白湯))! This is the best chicken broth ramen i have ever tasted!! Seriously yummy!!!!! It comes with an egg, chicken meat, cherry tomato, corn and yam. Noodles was aldente as well. My experience here was nothing but the best. I normally don't go back to the same store for a second visit as i wanted to try out new food but i will consider coming back here. <3

The Tokyo trip has been ridiculous, with top-tier meal after top-tier meal, and lots of walking and biru in between. And clothes. My God, the clothes. But right, we're here for the food. Upcoming blog post eventually etc etc (if ever, eh) but suffice to say, it's going to be hard to go back to eating the dogshit masquerading as Japanese food in Malaysia (shout-out to Ippudo, Sushi Zanmai, most of Isetan lot 10 etc). I really don't know which to post about so I'll just go with my favourite meal of the day: the tori paitan ramen at Kagari Echi Fit inside the Ginza subway station. .

Where to even begin with this ramen though? It's solidly in the top 3 that I've tasted, perhaps even top 2. I would be ecstatic if I could cycle between this and Afuri every other day. It's an incredibly creamy chicken broth that isn't overly oily and fatty. It's rich in all the right ways. It's silky. Luxurious. And the chicken breast is very good though I wish it was seared a bit for some textural contrast - but I'm nitpicking the best chicken breasts I've ever had. And just look at it: it looks stunning for a sub 1k bowl of ramen. It matches the place itself - a super comfy and cramped oasis that shutters off the sounds of the world outside apart from the soft rumbling of the train overhead and the pitter patter of feet. It only sits a few people (of course), so queue up and wait outside. It's worth it. FYI @thehughjackman, if you're still in town, you have to try this spot out. Because goddamn is this good. I want to eat this out forever until I get lockjaw, but even the creamiest of things come to an end eventually, and so this gluttonous slob mulched its way back home after (with a quick onigiri pit stop at Onigiri Bongo along the way).
