FW:Finally had the opportunity to eat at this place after watching it on Ghib Ojisan's channel!!! The taste was as surprising as expected with a very nice sweet-salty miso blend into a frangrant classic meepok taste. A true blend of both japanese and singaporean cultures. The meat was also juicy and flavourful, the noodles spongy and springy, not to mention the price is worth!! 9.78/10
XY: Very delicious, I live for such fusion, affordable, but unique, delicious. Rate it 8.12/10. I think this is also due to the fact that I really love Bar chor Mee too.
You get the BEST of both worlds with this. About $7-10 a bowl but western food at hawker centres are also similarly priced.
This is so good tho, i didn’t expect to be so full from just a bowl. You get the best of both worlds here, packed and brimming with flavour, you can taste the familiar earthy twang of the BCM (mushroom + minced pork + vinegar) combination, and the generous thick cuts of pork slices and mushrooms. Served w a ramen egg, what’s not to like?
Wow. truly one for the books.
Picked the shoyu base dry japanese fusion mee pok to share and this surely brought some of the best memories back. Sauce is very flavourful and thick, coating every single strand of the qq noodle well. It also comes with fatty charsiew slice and abalone slices just like last time! Every single ingredient is well-made and on point; and that’s what made me obsessed with Ah Hoe Mee Pok last time. This dish here is certainly not a BCM nor a bowl of ramen/mazesoba. But it’s a well-thought adventurous bowl of noodle that deserves a try. Prolly not gonna queue for an hour again for this, but would try my luck when nearby.
Well, I managed to squeeze in some time to check-in on this stall from my food bucket list📍on the last day of the September school holidays! Yay!
Love ❤️ the generosity of ingredients particularly the crispy, fragrant pork lards and thick slices of tender char siew as well as the very flavoursome miso base.
