Not cheap (about S$2) but it was a big bun, bigger than the ones at Raohe. Loved the hard outside (dk I like hard bread) which was fragrant from the charcoal oven, though preferred the filling of the Raohe pepper buns.

Literal translation is healthy sandwich but this is not healthy at all. Comprising of a deep fried hot dog bun with mayo and funky ingredients (got cucumber though), it's just sin all around.

Remembered it to be much more fragrant and with more filling many years back, but it still came piping hot and cooked in that cool traditional charcoal oven (and we queued for 2 min) so all's good.

I love this so much. It stinks by the way so stay away if you already were wary of intestines but I love it 🤤

Our most costly meal so far (we've been eating like poor kids so not a good gauge, but this is definitely priced more for tourists. Still affordable though!), but the chunks of tender beef (skip the tendon) and fragrant soup made up for it, while the pig intestine item was FANTABULOUS. Only complaint was that it came in this wooden dimsum bowl thing, and we thought it filled the entire bowl, but NO it only filled half and we were heartbroken.

Went to yonghe at Da'an district because heard that the other famous soya milk store (fu hang) has really a long queue. First try of salty beancurd and was really surprised because it just tastes like tofu soup HAHA but pretty good, just totally not what I expected. Enjoyed their shaobing as well. And I really hate soya milk because of this gross aftertaste (except bonsoy) but quite enjoyed the ones here.

We later tried the ximending branch which really differed in quality, especially their doughy items, so give this branch a try instead!

Declared to be our favourite lu rou fan so far. Queue is pretty long but moves really fast! Also get their braised egg because it's duck egg (slightly different texture).

Recommended for good reason, much much nicer than the ones available in Singapore. Thankfully there wasn't a queue. Taipei in July is so bloody hot though, this would be super comforting and warm in cold weather.
