Cosy and vibey Taiwanese bistro in the Boat Quay area. We started off with the Enoki Mushroom ($6.90) which was done perfectly - crunchy enoki in a deliciously crisp batter. For mains, the Shredded Chicken Rice ($8.50) was so addictive with the intense flavours of the fried shallots and a special fragrant oil. Add the TSK Chilli Sauce for a spicy kick! Washed everything down with the Four Season Pure Tea ($3.50) which was light and refreshing.
Service-wise, I dropped it down a star as when I pointed out that the chair had some stains on it, the server just looked at it but decided not to do anything about it which was strange.
Broth is flavorful with light taste of herbs, mildly sweet & spicy, not too gamey; came with small amount of pickled veggies to balance out the taste; 3 slices of thick cut beef brisket which is tender & soft; opted for knife-shaved noodles which came firm & chewy..
Broth is light-tasting but lack of depth & seafood taste; came with generous portion of crunchy squid tentacles & baby clams; was expecting some fresh clams to add some natural sweetness to the broth; opted for the firm & chewy knife-shaved noodles..
Bing Duo Duo's Mango Pomelo is a tropical delight! Creamy milk-infused shaved ice is topped with luscious mango puree, juicy pomelo bits, diced mango, and chewy konjac jelly. Refreshing, sweet, and tangy 》$4.80
($3.90) consisted tangerine jasmine ai-yu, grass jelly, pineapple kantan, black pearl and taro balls. I decided to try new seasonal flavour for mar for second time. So it's quite much nicer than pineapple one. The taste like sweet, sour and a bit of floral aftertaste.
($3.50) luckily I choose medium size instead of large size. It's a been while to eat at shihlin.
Indulge in the delightful Nasi Ayam Kunyit from Adam Corner!
This flavourful dish features stir-fried diced tumeric seasoned boneless chicken, with broccoli, cauliflower, broad peas, long beans, onions, and capsicum.
Each bite bursts with taste, making it a perfect pairing with fluffy rice.
All this deliciousness for just $7, an unbeatable value for a satisfying meal!
($5.80) one of the best selling side so I decided to try it out but then I almost cannot eat finish as signature trio combo was too much for me. But it was quite not that bad as I don't eat pork floss.
($14.50) included braised pork rice, oyster and pig intestine mee sua and chicken rice. I felt that braised pork rice was not that bad; oyster and pig intestine mee sua's broth was quite thick but contained a lot of flavour (vinegar); chicken rice was quite bland taste. I finally tried their signature trio combo after seeing over the place at social media. I also add-on molten yolk egg ($1.70) being marinated and also mini pork ball soup ($2) included radish made less heaty and also chewy and not that hard.
Din Tai Fung’s new Spicy Sesame dishes hit all the right notes for me. Silky wantons and springy noodles, with the rich and nutty spicy sesame sauce make every bite irresistible. Whether you go for the Shrimp & Pork or Vegetable & Pork version—or just the wantons on their own—you’re in for a spicy, nutty treat!
Pair it with their new Four Seasons Tea with Peach Gum for something light and refreshing, or go all in with the Da Hong Pao Milk Tea with Boba.
Always a satisfying and enjoyable time at Din Tai Fung.
