Was expecting thin soba but this thick soba was chewy and quite on point.

Maze soba is satisfying with that oozing egg yolk, and chilli did elevate the taste a little (not that spicy), the gyoza was served hot too, overall not bad lunch set.

Value-for-money, decent, chewy udon, egg, tonkotsu and soup base are also quite on point.

Best part is that you can help yourselves to sides (free) like corn, crispy flakes, wakame etc

Value-for-money sushi and soba set, decent quality but given the long wait, doubt will be back again

- Mentai Pork Katsu Don 明太子醬炸豬排飯🍱
- Ebi Fry 日式炸蝦🍤

Tonkatsu was not bad, crispy and pretty thick cut, the mentaiko sauce complement the katsu well. A little pity that the rice was a tad too mushy to my likings.

The fried prawns were not bad too, crispy and fluffy.

Overall not bad, worth a try if nearby the vicinity, moreover, they accept CDC vouchers!

Damage: $9.90 for tonkatsu don

Chirashi Don was on point, fresh sashimi and the grain rice is one of their signature. Friend was satisfied with her truffle yakiniku udon too.

Fresh oyster at $3 per pcs is quite a steal during happy hour with every drinks ordered. A little regret, we should have ordered more, the oysters were very fresh indeed.

Quality food, definitely will be back again.

Tender and juicy grilled chicken with a tad salty Mentai, goes really with with the rice. Can eat it with dashi broth or on its own, decent and comfort food indeed.

- Standard Hitsumabushi with hot green tea

Menu changed since the last I went but nonetheless, went for the standard hitsumabushi.

Fresh unagi, crispy and tender, to eat as it is (with the sauce) or with the dashi broth, tasted equally good. However, do note that fresh wasabi is not available, only wasabi paste is provided.

The outlet was a little shorthanded, meals and drinks are served pretty slowly.

Unassuming chicken don but it tasted better than how it looks, Japanese style chicken don yum~

Humble shop with 7 seats, and one person manning the shop, can take a while during peak hours…

Like the aburi salmon belly taste, sweetness from the charred broccoli & carrot, savoury taste from the mentaiko & teriyaki sauce, and the crunchiness from the fried garlic, this bowl of Don was filled with greatness~

Am surprised that the junior portion was already good enough for an adult, satisfying meal really~

A quiet and cosy Jap restaurant, the svc was also good, staff was friendly, refilled our green tea without us asking, and even though we were done with our dinner!

Would recommend this place!

Needless to introduce, the taste you and I knows, wanted to say their spicy teriyaki sauce was not bad, and set meal was quite value-for-$…

Just a little disappointed by their service, having to ask the waiter & waitress 3 times on getting me the ice cream, and still ended up, I have to walk to the counter to ask for it, then to know that the ice cream was out of stock…could have done better by notifying me upon placing order or after I asked them for the ice cream…

Crispy, juicy and tender chicken karaage! Just as yummy as before~ Well-marinated, not that salty, and the chicken parts seemed to be the thigh meat, can’t get enough of them really!

Generous portion, super filling indeed, hence, asked for half bowl of rice only…

The side dishes were not fixed, this round were the pickled radish and cabbage, refreshed the tastebud totally~

Not forgetting the miso soup and tea…

Though price increased but the taste & standard were just as good…

Value-for-money bbq~

The pork & chicken were quite well marinated, pork belly was decent, chicken was equally good except that it takes longer to cook (due to thicker cut)…

The kimchi was a tad too sweet to my likings, the soup was filled with seaweed quite nice…

Given the price point, nothing to complain…

Note: Be prepared to queue roughly 30min during lunch hour…
