This thing is rlly not as good in a jar. Idk maybe it's that I'm having big mouthfuls, but each slice of mushroom is rather dry. The umami isn't so intense either

I saw them scoop it into the jar tho, so idk what's up. Maybe the taste deteriorates over time

Yak yoghurt is normally a joy but this was BS, way too much 酒酿 such that all you taste is jiuniang. We threw the cup away

For the nonsense they're selling the prices are too high. Plus they don't allow trying which is super fishy, any self respecting shop with confidence in their products would either have a damn long line or allow trying

Nah this is not good. The salted egg is much weaker than the ham and proportionally the whole yolk takes up too much volume.

Original is much more shiok

It's almost funny how much better they are than everyone else. What's wrong w lijiang's flower pastry scene seriously

The ratio is finally correct. Super generous portion of filling, aromatic and not overly sweet.

If there's still doubts in your mind, even locals concur they're the best.

Utterly impressive.

Singaporeans are actl quite accustomed to sweet salty profiles. Think char siew.

This is exactly that, it's absolutely insane in terms of the super strong and complex ham(they use 宣威 ham) which is a specialty in Kunming and the sauce comes thru intensely as well

Grapes were good, peaches were fine, honeydew wasn't v sweet

This was to help calm the fire in my mouth, cos they were delayed in bringing my ice water. Service is good

But ultimately the meal was a very unhappy one. Too many problems. If you come, start by making sure you're reaching before 7pm so you secure their signature duck

But it should be obvious that it's not the birds eye slices itself that's giving so much heat, if it's that unbearable. It's alr in the sauce, hence this wasn't any less spicy

In the end they waived the dish which was nice

As for the veggie itself, I think it's the first time I'm trying a proper one. There's this particular taste which I can see why some people identify as a fishiness but it's really not as bad as it's made out to be

Lily bulbs were fresh and crisp

Porcini is wild, the harvested ones are only the black porcini. It's good from the oil, but the flavour is really not stunning. Thank god I didn't order their stir fried porcini for 300nett, that's bound to be a mistake

Candied walnuts were some of the best I've had. Super crunchy, and nice caramelisation on the walnuts while remaining light

Their snacks from the 过桥 are all free flow. Although with the huge portion of soup how much can you really eat

This tastes too much like thai style lol

Ridiculously spicy. It's just pure birds eye chili and sourness. In fact u don't taste the veg as well, it's so strongly seasoned.

Hardly edible from the heat. Plus it didn't come w a warning, they said they will rectify that next time

The normal portion feeds 6-8, it's 300nett

Ckn was decent, soup was very clean tasting. It's a good version, but nothing mindblowing. You can get the same thing in Singapore. And this is their best alr?

Definitely not worth trying I feel
