Zao Dao Shu Shi (Upper Boon Keng Market & Food Centre)

My Saturday morning run takes me across Upper Boon Keng Market and Food Centre which I have never visited before. I was therefore quite eager to check out what the FC has to offer even though I was sweaty and aching all over.

Enterinf the FC, it is hard to miss the long queue at Zao Dao Shu Shi (早到熟食), a stall that specialises in wanton mee. I like that their noodles are springy and do not taste alkaline. Their wantons are also meaty and tasty. I also like that their char siew was not cupboard thin.

More importantly, Zao Dao's service was really warm and friendly. And the auntie even offered to pack a packet of soup for me even though I only ordered one packet!

As their name indicates, you have to come early for this stall as they sell out usually before it hits noon.

At $3 a pop, they are popular with the residents and serve up pretty fast coz the lady remembers all your preferences~
