No kidding! I find the freshly-baked and crisp ciabatta in the complimentary bread basket much better than the pasta dishes. Perhaps the pizzas would be a better option. I had the lobster fettuccine ($38++) which was alright. I changed the angel hair to fettuccine but it was not al dente for my liking, but at least that shows it's not pasta from the box. The friend had a simple Carbonara ($32++) with Parma ham plus a Coke ($7++ with a slice of lemon). Total damages: -$90++. We contemplated ordering a dinner set which comprised of an anti-pasti, mains, Chef's special (today was pork belly) and a dessert for $65++. Value for money right? However the waiter told us portion is smaller. How small, I won't know. Would I go back again? Yes, not for the pasta but maybe to order a mushroom soup ($14) or lobster bisque ($19) to go with the free-flow bread, unsalted butter , ricotta cheese and tomato salsa. #breadface #ilovebread

I hope these wings at least come from once free-ranged birds, since their prices match their "golden"-brown crispy skin. I taste a bit of bitterness, probably from overfrying of the meat, but it was saved by the coat of sauce. We ordered the mixed basket but honestly I can't taste the difference between the two flavours. Bibimbab ingredients were not authentic at all, only the crust at the bottom was the saving grace. The friend likes the seafood pancake but he didn't finish it. I don't get the sauce- soy? vinegar? I still prefer my fried chicken with good old chili and ketchup, but I can only make do with the bibimbab sauce. Damage -$60 after ++. Call me niao but I would rather buy 3? whole chickens 天天 at Maxwell, than settle for 6 wings and a quarter chicken.

$1 naan $2.90 tandoori chicken & butter chicken gravy Dunno how he got $4, but owner is quite nice as I'm 50cent short of change and his ezlink machine doesn't accept FlashPay ezlink card. Oops. Naan is too thick for my liking, chicken is tender enough. Edible but can be a tad cheaper for canteen food prices.

I don't understand the queues. Precisely that's why I chose to try it today as there's no Q. $1 rice (as I didn't ask for 少饭), $1.30 otah (price raised but portion dwindled), and $1.50 chicken wing. Can give some ikan bilis for free or not? Totally regret not crossing the road for the curry rice that looks so much more appetising & less dry

Why pay double the price for #BlackBalls in a bowl when you can get the same 九份 originated grass jelly dessert for $2. The staff will fill up your takeout bowl with assorted red beans, barley and the colourful sweet potato balls. You can also opt for mix with Beancurd for the 鸳鸯 base. Drizzle with sweetened milk for a different taste. #desserts #taiwan

Disclaimer: No sharks are killed for this. No mushrooms are used for the mock version either. Simply by mixing beehoon into the bonito-based porridge (skip the chili if you want to do this) and ta-da, you get shark fin porridge that WWF will thank you for. Easy on the wallet, Mother Earth, and #comfortfood for the stomach.

Maybe only this #Changi T2 branch serves food in disposable ware. Tbh, I felt a little duped when I chanced upon their $8.90 #hightea promotion which comprises of a dessert and drink. Ended up charging me $2 for my tart choice. I don't think the absolutely teeth-crushing hard tart base can justify this addon. The portion of the drink in this disposable paper cup was kinda pathetic too. My verdict? Never going back. It's as simple as #ABC

If lazy, laid-back dining experience is what you are skiving, I mean looking for, this is the perfect place. My burger looked like it's sticking its bacon tongue at me for this choice, but the friend had it worse with his polenta which tasted like #birdfood. Ok who are we kidding, polenta is made with corn, so it's literally bird food. Only saving grace was the #Truffle fries sides, and I'm not even a fries person.

I prefer this outlet to the congested one at Ion. Here you find the occasional tourists, you have the luxury of the expanse of area all to yourself after lunch hour. The perfect dining venue for claustrophobic people like moi with the company of a novel and Gryphon tea (in a pot!) Pre-prepared beef stock was warmed and dressed over broad flat pasta which clung to the sauce. Chunky beef cheeks were not all equally tender though. Remember to finish off the meal with their signature cupcakes. #comfortfood If only there's wifi... Perfecto

This must be the second least greasy char kway Teow(CKT) I've tried in SG, after the Emerald CKT at Golden Mile food centre. I bought the bigger $3 portion. You can request the level of spiciness desired. Look forward to generous serving of chopped lupcheong (Chinese sausage), many tiny hums (cockles) and fish cakes. I just wish there were more veggies such as bean sprouts and chives. Haven't found my ideal CKT thus far.

Edible but I guess Japanese pearl rice aren't the best type of rice to make fried rice. Even the bibimbab iron cast bowl presentation can't save it. Looks good but that's all to it. My unagi don portion is tiny and there's no proper dinner spoon. Bring your own cutlery if you want to go for non-Arabian or Medz cuisine in the Kampong Glam area
