We Q for 15mins and ordered this Set B, $3.50 with Fish Fillet, Egg, Ikan Bilis and add a hotdog for $0.50. We simply love their fragrant Basmati rice which taste so good!!! Fish fillet and hotdog wasn’t very hot and crispy, Ikan bilis is fresh, crispy and crunchy, one of the better ones I’ve eaten! Their chilli is not the typical spicy chilli, its slightly towards sweet, spicy lovers might not enjoy it as much. A full vibrant bowl of fresh sashimi, tuna and white fish, tamago, cucumber, topped with tons of salmon roe! All ingredients were cut in cubes for easy bite-size. I think they are pretty generous with their serving, even though it’s a set lunch. Fried Ebi(2pcs) were yummy too! This claypot chicken rice comes in 2 sizes, small $5 and big for $8. They cook on the spot thus its served super pipping hot! Claypot has a distinct aroma of salted fish which makes it so so so amazing!!! Rice was evenly cooked and well drizzled with generous serving of dark Soya Sauce, chicken serving was rather generous and were cut in chunks... Not forgetting the good quality Chinese sausage too! Besides, there were no bones in the chicken, so you can eat in peace and not keep spitting out those horrible bones! One of the longest Q stall at level 2 Amoy food Centre during lunch time so you won’t missed it! It’s so popular as they uses fresh and good premium pomfret for their soup hence the slightly steep price for their soup. Their regular bowl of sliced fish soup cost $7 but I must say, it’s all worth it! The slice fish is so silky and smooth in texture and broth is so tasty! Swee Guan Hokkien Mee, located at 5 Lor 29 Geylang. One of the few stalls who still uses charcoal to fry their Hokkien prawn mee! We arrive at a bad timing with a snaking Long Q.. To make up for the Long Q, we ordered their $12 large plate and portion is perfect for 2 to share👫! They are very generous with the ingredients, sotong, eggs and 5-6 super big and fresh prawns! Also they uses thin white Bee hoon and not those thick kind which I don’t really like... It has a very strong wok-hei taste and it’s not too wet, a little towards the dry kind which we enjoyed a lot! A table full of happiness!! Traditional charcoal steamboat with flaming fire, prawn roll, braised intestine and Pork Chop! Everything on this table is super yummmmyyy! These Pork Chop were DA BOMB!! They are super juicy, flavourful, crispy and tender!! One of the best Pork Chop we ever had! Must try when you are here the next time!
