Really like the fish, soup and how it combines so well with the fried fish eggs (additional 50 cents). Come early, there’ll be long queues by 1215.

Delicious! Generous servings as well. Won’t go wrong.

Go big or go home. Went for the premium chirashi that offers double the servings. The salmon is really fresh and the rice is on the sweet side. If you’re looking for fat chunks of fish cubes at a really good price, this is it. Pro-tip: get a premium and some sides to share. There’ll be enough.

Good old ice cream and waffles at udders! It’s been a long long while. Liked the salted caramel and dark chocolate flavors. Can’t remember their exact fancy names. Opens till 1am and only sides are available when we reached about 1030pm.

Lovely grilled octopus that’s tender and soft. Goes really well with the Borlotti beans. Order this when you’re here!

Bayswater kitchen is located right next to Prive at Keppel Bay. This is definitely a good beautiful location where you can enjoy a relaxing date. I got the fish and chips, grilled octopus and steak here. I enjoyed their rendition of fish and chips and the service here is really good (thanks Khalid).

This was really fluffy and the sweetness was a welcome. Recommended!

It's been awhile I last visited Seng Kee and they literally have taken over the entire street. The long queue moves very fast and you'll be with your favorite mee sua, chao tah bee hoon and har jeong gai all within 30min on a Sunday night. Great place to bring your parents to. Pro-tip: free parking at some abandoned lot opposite the restaurant.

For me, this is the best peppery bak kut teh in Singapore! Peppery and dense broth - the same after refills. Go for the premium pork ribs, they're really good.

Discovered this on Burpple and no better way to celebrate National Day at a brand new spot. Southpaw offers Omakase with their own special take on the dishes led by Chef Kenny. They also have a good selection of Scottish whisky to curated by Roy the owner to pair with your food. My favorite was the foie gras on hotate sushi, giving you an indulgent melt-in-your-mouth experience. Come here for a unique cosy chef table experience!

Recommended by another Burppler. I was craving for Hokkien mee and so I made a cycling trip to the new estate. Got the $6 option and it was huge. Wok hei is there and it was right on starchiness. It is not as flavorful as the famous one in Geylang but this is definitely much better than your regular neighborhood Hokkien mee.

My first dinner here saw me selecting the $98++ omakase (also available in $68++ and $138++).
After I had polished off an appetiser of thinly-sliced sea bream topped with caviar (pictured above in the corner top left) and a plate of sashimi, the following seven pieces of sushi were meticulously put together and served one at a time by Leading Chef Kenny:

1. Kanpachi
2. Engawa (Flounder Fin)
3. Marinated Bluefin Tuna with Japanese Yam
4. Kohada and Wakame
5. Aburi Salmon with Chef's Special Bonito Flakes
6. Foie Gras on Hotate (Scallop)
7. Anago (Sea Eel)

I found the quality of every sushi to be impressive, both in freshness and in size.
Chef then made me a bowl of Fresh Clams in Miso Soup on the spot. Its belly-warming comfort was a really wonderful thing to sip on. My meal was brought to a close with Ume Jelly for dessert.
