The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf are selling Christmas treats this year and I was super elated when I saw their FREAKING HUGE gingerbread man!!! It's larger than my palm and it's only RM6.50, which is about the same as most commercial bakeries but their ones are way smaller! restaurant in the Starhill Gallery every Saturday. It involves the other restaurants on the same floor known collectively as the 'Feast Village' in a concept called 'Cirque du Culinaire'. What I experienced was a sumptuous buffet spread together with a new concept where signature dishes from each restaurant are circulated from guest to guest in small portions for us to eat. What I loved about the buffet was the sheer quality of the spread. The salads and appetisers were creatively served in cocktail and wine glasses. There was a near unlimited supply of really fresh lobster, prawns , crabs and scallops and a roast duck station nearby. The sashimi was plentiful and extremely fresh and tasty. The dessert section left a little more to ne desired however but the savoury selections more than made up for that. At the end of a guest's meal, they are served a beautifully decorated plate of signature desserts from each restaurant. The entertainment was wonderful with a clown making balloon animals and a magician performing tricks during the early half of the event and a curated live band playing from 9:30PM onwards. This was an excellent place to celebrate my dad's birthday and I highly recommend this place if you haven't already come here to celebrate something special 10/10. Price is RM168 per person and time and day is 7PM-10:30PM on Saturdays but you can use Eatigo for a discount at certain timeslots.

This Korean restaurant in the Starling sells a variety of common Korean meals that are sure to satisfy your K-cravings. I picked their Kimchi Jigae(beef) and I was honestly impressed. You know why? There were so many ingredients in the stew and they were so generous! The stew is literally scattered with huge beef chunks everywhere and there is lots of kimchi and tofu. They don't skimp on the glass noodles and other veggies either. They also put some chewy dried mushrooms on top to give it bite. The rice was good and had that lovely sticky texture Korean rice is famous for. The banchan(side dishes) was relatively unimpressive but the restaurant makes up for that by providing FREE REFILLS! The Korean tea is separate from the meal but it was quite cheap. This beef Kimchi Jigae is RM19.50 and that's pretty much the average price for most of their dishes but they provide nice rice, noodle and family sets so do check this place out at @thestarlingmall .

The dim sum quality here is relatively good and consistent and we usually go here because it is very nearby and the prices are the most reasonable. The restaurant is air-conditioned except for the outdoor area so you can take your pick. Expect to pay close to RM45-50 per person here 😅😅😅 as dim sum isn't cheap.

It was quite a delicious and complex dessert served in a pretty disposable plastic cup. I could taste the coffee, cocoa powder, mascarpone cheese and vanilla soft serve in this dessert pretty clearly. However, the price is pretty high at RM17.90 for one of these. So make sure you have a photographer to get some instagram moments and cute selfies with this gorgeous ice cream before it disappears into your stomach in a flash 😅😭😋

It's definitely better than the more popular chain stores like Domino's and Pizza Hut but it comes with a slightly more premium price tag. The criss-cut fries included with this set were good too 😋

This was just as amazing as the hype surrounding it. The chicken thigh patty was really thick and juicy and I savoured every bite. There was plenty of sambal and rendang sauce on this burger and it made me lick it off my fingers because they were so tasty. The egg, onions and cucumbers were lovely additions to the burger and I added a slice of cheese to top it all off. The charcoal buns were warm and fluffy. The fries were delicious and their texture was just right:crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they weren't too salty. This is rather filling though and can make you feel queasy after eating most of it so I'd advise eating this on an empty stomach. I also tried the mushroom fries too and they were juicy with the fresh taste of mushrooms bursting in my mouth. 10/10 would definitely come again as service was prompt and friendly.

I got the thick cut noodles and their superior soup. The noodles were firm and al dente and were a joy to eat. The soup was fragrant and had a strong umami taste partly attributable to the alcohol they add to it. The signature ingredients of the pan mee added a nice hearty texture to the overall bowl: black fungus, fried anchovies, spring onions, fried onions, sliced mushrooms and a piece of fish paste. This whole bowl left me stuffed and I washed it down with their pu er tea which smells strongly of fresh pandan. Pan Mee was around RM10 and Pu Er tea was around RM2. 9/10 Definitely worth going to try their reasonably priced noodles 👍👍👍

The fishcakes and fishballs were springy and tasty after being simmered in the broth. The broth is super tasty but I think it is rather high in sodium since I felt thirsty afterwards. The udon was good and added a much needed bulk to the entire bowl.
