One of my favourite is Mille-feuille katsu set ($26.80) and Omurice Curry ($16). The Mille feuille katsu boasts 16 layers of pork while the curry is a curation of specially curated recipe from Yoshimi made using a blend of over 15 herbs and spices.

Dessert lovers like me can also end the gourmet sessions with sweet such as mixed berry pancake and Hokkaido soft serve ice cream.

To celebrate SORA's new outlet opening at Terminal 1, dine at either outlet at T1 & T2, spend a minimum of $50 in a single receipt to stand a chance to win a pair of ANA tickets to Japan.

Hawkerman is definitely my kind of Superhero!

For first timers to Hawkerman, I would suggest you to order the Bao-Ka-liao platter ($32.90++) that serves 2 to 3 pax and it includes 7 items such as Tenderfresh's Signature Crispy Fried Half Spring Chicken, Hokkien Mee, Popiah, XO Carrot Cake etc. Everything especially the hokkien mee is best eaten when it's hot. Value for money platter that allows you to sample a wide variety of hawker food.

Another fav dish of mine is the Yuan Yang Carrot Cake ($6.90) which is essentially carbonara styled carrot cake with turkey bacon and XO sauce carrot cake. When it's eaten hot, it's really shiok!

Thanks @singaporefoodlisting for the invitation and @hawkermansg for having us!

They even have a menu dated in 1930 to prove it (Swipe Left) and the owner mentioned to us that the items on the menu is still available today.

It was an excellent meal and I really enjoyed every dish that was served to us. I really can't pick any favourite dish as all are equally good! An ideal place to bring your family especially the elderly in the family to dine.

They also offer the option to cook your private recipes upon request but this would require you to place the order earlier for the chef to prepare the meal.

It's also available for all types of events and banquets and it can seat up to 80 guests.

Menu of the day;
Teochew Steam Pomfret
Four Varieties Combination
Crispy Boneless Chicken
Fried Oyster Omelette
House Special Sliced Goose
Braised Tofu with Prawns
Yam and Sweet Potatoes (Dessert)

Here at Pasta Supremo, you get to enjoy fresh handmade pasta at really affordable price. Their pasta are mostly fusion, and I would say most are created specially to suit the locals' tastebud.
We had the Prawn Olio Olio ($18++) that consists of ingredients you might never expect. What we had consists of curly pasta with Sichuan Garlic oil to give you the mala-kick, garlic prawns, Chinese Sausages (Lap Cheong) & tobiko. When eaten together, it gave you an out of the world taste, yet causing you to crave for more.

For the sides, we had the addictive Spiced Supremo Chicken Skins ($6++) which is crispy and spicy, likewise they have the mala-kick as well. Excellent to munch on, while waiting for the mains to arrive

Also tried the Bak Kwa Jam ($5++) which is essentially Bak Kwa + Jam on bread, which it's flavourful and delicious. The only slight complain I had was that the ratio of meat to bread is abit more, which perhaps they could be less generous, as it could get quite salty. Bit overall an excellent starter to whet up your appetite.

We also had the Chicken Rice Pasta ($16++), which is essentially the pasta version of our favourite Hainanese Chicken Rice. Long pasta cooked in chicken broth with slow-poached chicken with chilli and ginger garlic. Excellent idea and refreshing take on the iconic Hainanese Chicken Rice.

If yes, you definitely need to visit Mad for Garlic, the world's largest garlic themed restaurant from Korea.

Revolving around the concept of garlic, it focus its entire menu on serving classic Italian cuisine including desserts, with garlic as a key ingredient.

Here are some of their new items on the menu;

Wild Mushroom Steak ($38++) Pan-seared tenderloin steak topped with wild mushrooms and porcini cream on a bed of herb mashed potatoes.

Spinach Alfredo Pizza ($23++) Thin crust pizza topped with Alfredo sauce, chicken breast, spinach, bacon and cherry tomatoes.

Meringue Risotto ($25++) Spicy shredded beef jalapeño risotto topped with meringue cream and fresh egg yolk.

Garlic Lasagna ($24++) Roll stuffed with Ragu and Ricotta cheese and baked to perfection. Served with homemade Aioli sauce.

Prosciutto Risotto ($25++) Creamy risotto with Prosciutto (parma ham), herbs, spring onion and garlic.

Garlic Apple Crumble a-la-mode ($14++) Warm apple crumble ensemble with garlic compote. Served with a scoop of Haagen-dazs ice cream.

It was definitely an eye opener on what difference that garlic can do to dishes, especially for the Garlic Apple Crumble. With over 40 restaurants in Korea, I can say that the Koreans really love garlic!

Creativity at its best, and that's the reason why they have an edge over the other many prata restaurants.

One word; Shiok! 😋

They have been coming out new dishes on a yearly basics for their ultimate hawkerfest series.

2012 Ultimate Murtabak (8.80) - Glorious chunks of smoky tandoori chicken, bountiful bits of portobello mushrooms and a generous serving of cheesy mozzarella hidden inside the prata dough.

2013 Murtaburger ($8.70) - Encased inside a fluffy murtabak are juicy lamb patties and loads of melted mozzarella cheese all topped with mayonnaise and chili sauce.

2014 Plaster Blaster ($6.10) - What greets you is a soft and runny poached egg sitting beautifully on a slice of ham and prata. On top of it all is a generous dollop of the inhouse hollandaise sauce. They even have an Indian hollandaise sauce if you'd like a little kick to your dish.

2015 Umami 50 ($9.80) - MY FAVOURITE! This is the ingenious marriage between Premium Chicken Luncheon Meat, Chicken Floss, Japanese Mayonnaise, Egg and Mozzarella Cheese. Dunking this dish in the curry will send you umami-heaven.

2016 Salted Egg Prawn Prata - None of the flowing stuff here but there's a thick layer of rich and tasty Salted Egg Yolk along with some prawns wrapped in a thin crisp prata! It might seems weird but I'm not sure how they make it taste so good.

2017 Prata Alfredo ($10.90)- The lovechild of Italian and Indian cuisine comes the Prata Alfredo. It has Chunky rosemary smoked chicken tossed in a prata filled with creamy Alfredo sauce, sprinkled with fresh button mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.

2018 La Ayam Parotta ($9.80) Hand-pulled chicken prata packed with fresh chinese wong bok, vibrant red bell pepper, topped with mozzarella cheese and sambal.

Red Bean Prata ($3.90) - Everybody's favourite item is the dessert prata! Generous filling in tissue thin prata skin! Better than those I get in Chinese Dimsum restaurants.

I like how they have the self service free flow curry corner!

Faai Di also features new items that are currently exclusive at Jewel Changi Airport such as; steamed chicken with lap cheong - a traditional Cantonese dish steamed with sesame oil and ginger slices; and Faai Di’s prawn noodle soup - which uses Ka-Soh’s signature fish soup as a base with live prawns used to morph the brothy fish soup into a heady prawn soup with a red hue.

One of my favourite item was the fried yam. The yam was very soft and perfectly cooked and fried in a nicely fried bread crust. ‘Faai Di’ (faster) check out Faai Di by Ka Soh at Five Spice Food Court at Jewel Changi.

Chi Cha San Chen is from Taichung, Taiwan and its drinks are honestly, one of the best that I have had. I appreciate the process that went into preparing each cup of tea. Using a teapresso machine, each drink is freshly prepared which explains the longer waiting time.

Also, the longer waiting time is worth it as their Ding Dong Oolong is awarded the Highest International Authority iTQi Certification, which is the equivalent of a Michelin 3 Star in its field!

I tried the Ding Dong Oolong Fresh Milk Tea ($4.70) & Bubble Milk Tea ($4.20) and dare say that it is one of the best bubble tea that I have had. It is recommended that you have 100% sugar for your drinks here though.
