Sitting innocently along Kampong Bahru, you'll find amazingly healthy cakes and sandwiches made with natural, high-quality ingredients and no preservatives. Go for a mushroom Clubman sandwich, jam-packed with flavour and healthy goodness in fluffy bread. Don't leave without trying at least one slice of their signature cakes - Chocolate Trovana, New York Cheesecake and the fluffy Hokkaido rolls. You might like them so much you'll even buy a whole cake! Oh, pick up a jar of their kaya on your way out as well.

Late to the party, I know. But finally tried Kok Sen and this brimming plate of gravy-laden hor fun with fresh, succulent prawns is so worth the wait (and calories). Tried the prawn omelette too and although it could have been less oily, it was the bomb diggity ๐Ÿ˜‹

As if liu sha on its own is not sinful enough, Urban Bakery had to inject it into a flaky, buttery croissant. The croissant itself was super light and crispy outside, while still remaining very fluffy inside. If eaten fresh (within a day) the liu sha custard retains its thick consistency, and doesn't soak into the the croissant. It isn't too rich, so it's not jelat despite all the butter you're consuming with each one. If anything, you probably won't be able to stop at one, and will only think of the repercussions (calorie-wise) later. Definitely should get this when you're in HK.

I had my virgin taste of the trending berry, found only in Brazil's Amazon Rainforest. A superfood, the acai is supposed to be sky-high in all sorts of goodness and promises a world of amazing benefits. Served as a very thick smoothie in the popular "Acai bowl", it tasted really yummy. The attractive presentation with neatly cut fruit and other healthy toppings such as chia seeds, goji berries and coconut flakes were a bonus. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an outlet to open in the East soon!

The thing that always impresses me most about Tarte's tarts is how delicately thin the pastry is rolled, yet it's firm and crisp enough to hold all that luscious, creamy filling without crumbling. The tart shell is so slender that from a bird's eye view, you can't even glimpse its edges underneath its toppings.

If you ever find yourself in Vivocity and are craving for authentic, affordable no-frills Japanese udon or grilled meat donburis, I urge you to make your way to Washoku Goen in Food Republic. The substantial serving of beef was imbued with the smokiness imparted by fire and unctuous with meaty flavour, deftly handled by the burly, heavily tattooed headband wearing Japanese cook behind the grill station. You can't see it buried beneath the beef mountain, but the rice is excellent Japanese short grain. Pay $1 extra to get a runny egg and some tasty kelp soup, then pile on the free spring onion and tempura batter.

OMG! Such fresh juicy crabs with rich yummy salted egg yolk sauce! I am missing this already! *drools *

Had crabs for three dinners in this past 2 weeks and I must say this is the most enjoyable of all !

Thank you @burpple and @diamondkitchensg for such a yummy Eatup yesterday! :)

One of the star desserts at The Cold Pantry - Chocolate Root Beer Waffle served with Charcoal Vanilla ice cream, which tasted more like chocolate ice cream to me and lightly drizzled with homemade root beer sauce.

Found that the Root Beer flavour was too subtle, but I believe it was specially made this way so that it will not overshadow the ice cream. The overall taste and combinations were unique, however nothing out of the world. Nevertheless it still deserves another try.

๐Ÿ˜Ž: Well, this is something amazing! The person behind this must be a genius to combine both of them. The sweet potato fries were fried twice then topped with their house made salted duck's egg sauce and crispy curry leaves! This would have been a 5/5 if they drizzled more of the sauce and if they gave me a larger portion! Love this!๐Ÿ˜‰

When you cut into it, you will find a surprise of raspberry compote hidden in the middle. The perfect combination comes in when the sourness of the raspberry compote complements with the slight sweetness of the Madagascar vanilla cream as you enjoy it with crunchy crumble biscuit in it. It's simply a pastry that is full of flavors and textures!

Oh Josephine! I had never thought meeting u for the first time will make me fall deeply in love with u! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Looking at those glistering burger buns! It was enough to make me salivate while I wait for them to arrive! On the tray was the Dead Hippie (their best seller), the Cheeseburger & the Green Chilli Cheeseburger. I would say the Cheeseburger was the most worth it (partially cause I had it) & that my friend said the Dead Hippie tasted like any other burger. Either it was his tastebuds, or they were having a really busy night. On the sides are their Buffalo Wings, Monkey Fingers & Sambal Fries (not in picture). Their Monkey Fingers were chicken tenders but done to a savory perfection, tho a tad too salty & came with a side of blue cheese dip! For the adventurous, you may like the dip, but for me, I'll just have the fingers all by itself. As for the Buffalo Wings, it's peel-off-the-bone texture made it pretty easy to consume!
