Finally tried the bibimbap from here!!! It's DIY and only $13 net!!!!! Plus you can choose one protein, a carb base, 3 sides and a spicy or soy sauce. Let's not forget abt the fact that they give you an onsen egg on top, pleasant surprise πŸ˜› although it wasn't a hotstone bibimbap but it was so good. I had the spicy chicken (though not very spicy), purple rice, marinated spinach, Korean bean sprouts and sautΓ©ed zucchini. Definitely one of the most flavorful bowls I've had without it being completely drenched in sauces. This is recommended πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

As you can see, on a bed of plump glossy rice lies a few generous slices of melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef pieces, topped with shavings of truffle. Let's not forget the creamy complimenting onsen egg that acts as a coating for the individual components. In every bite, the truffle scent lingers and each mouthful leaves you wanting more. Although the beef could be slightly more tender, this $38 dish is such a steal. Where else can you find such a beautifully presented, aromatic and tasty wagyu dish in a lovely ambience for this price?

Until now, I still do not know how to pronounce this cafe. Is Lokal pronounced as 'Local' or 'Lo-kal'? Well that is a question still in speculation. Regardless, everything from the ambience, the decor, the smell, right down to the dishes, surpassed my expectations. A cosy cafe on the curb, the interior decorations were colourful and rejuvenating. The smell of the coffee, which enticed us to ordering the cappuchino and vanilla latte ($5.50 each), was simply divine. The coffee was definitely one of the better ones around, with the distinct aroma of the coffee beans and the sweetness of the vanilla being the perfect pick me up. We ordered the ricotta toast - ricotta, pomelo and avocado on a bed of sourdough toast (approx $19) as well as the roast beef sandwich - sauerkraut, mustard, greens and beef on wholemeal bread ($19), both of which were so tasty and worth every cent. A side of truffle fries ($10) was the sweet finish, with the underlying truffle taste in every bite. I have been very lucky with the cafes i have patroned in terms of the quality of food. This makes me happy :-)

Kith cafe has always been a place that I enjoy because of the affordable prices and the large portions. It has been a while since I have visited but it's safe to say that their standards haven't dropped one bit. I ordered the smoked salmon and eggs on multigrain toast ($19) while my friend ordered the black curry - chicken curry with yellow saffron rice and a poached egg ($19). The food was simply to-die-for. Both filling and tasty, each individual item on the plate complimented one another to deliver a tasty bite. I am actually looking to dine here again despite having just eaten here for lunch today!

Visited Yoogane again but this time, finally ordered the spicy cheese chicken galbi for $55.90. A little pricey I know but the portion is huge, good for two super hungry people but perfect for 3-4 people to share. The food came quickly and the staff started helping us cook them. They were efficient and attentive to the cooking and finally the dish was done, every ingredient soaked in the glorious red spicy sauce and the cheese melted into a pale yellow but indulgent puddle. We ordered a side of ramen for $3.90 because we always see ramen on reviews and decided to try it out. It was wonderful. The springiness of the ramen, the tenderness of the chicken and the vegetables (bc a meal isn't complete without vegetables) were all dipped into the sweet and savour cheese sauce. Heaven in my mouth, although it was a very big portion and I did get a little gelat (a word for eating too much and getting slightly sick of the taste) at the end. But it sure was good while it lasted!!!! This was definitely a craving I satisfied :-)

Finally decided to visit nassim hill after reading reviews/looking at so many pictures and viewing the menu so many times hehe plus got entertainer 1-1 so even greater perks beside the tasty looking food!!!! Was q bummed that the main menu item offer did not apply to salads but I was determined to still order the Asian BBQ Chicken salad ($15). Was rather impressed by the juicy meat and flavorful BBQ rub on the chicken breast, the freshness of the cucumbers, red peppers and carrots as well as the crunchiness from the sliced almonds, edamame and golden wanton skins. That was q a lengthy description wasn't it, but all these individual elements that laid on a bed of greens was complimented well by the soy ginger dressing that (thumbs up to the cafe) was placed on the side. I don't like saucy salads so I was glad when I had the choice of how much dressing I wanted to add and boy, it was good. I will definitely come back here to try the sandwiches or even the breakfast menu on my not-so-detox day πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›

Visited one of my favorite bars again!!!!! Haven't been here for a while that they have changed the menu since! Now they have sweet potato fries and waffle cut chili crab fries, don't you feel your mouth water from the sound of that? We tried the umami fries ($11), topped with Japanese seasoning and a mayo of some sort. Crisp, thin and tasty, this dish is a winner. The chili crab fries (around $11-14?) composed of golden brown waffle cut goodness and a sweet chili crab sauce with actual crab meat in it. Rly enjoyed myself once again especially with the happy hour drinks :-) I don't think this will be my only visit this holiday 🌞🌞

Went to try ninja cut just the other day bc I have been wanting to try it for the longest time after trying ninja bowl. TBH quite disappointed by the blandness of the bowl that I ordered - ready steady veggie :-( it looked so pretty and the egg was poached well, beers were picked well, corn was roasted well but the quinoa and mushrooms were rather bland. The egg, despite the runny yolk, did not give the dish a creamy rich quality. In fact, I did not feel that the dish went well together, it came more so as individual components on the plate. That being said, my friend said that the dish that she ordered - miso cod was tasty and flavorful. Perhaps I ordered the wrong dish so I will be back to give this place another shot :-)

Papa sim brought us to this supposedly renowned Spanish restaurant downtown and first I got to say the ambience is spot on. The dim lights, upbeat music and placement of decor was pretty inviting I would say :--))) we got a high table, a square one for 8 people (if you go as a couple I think you will have to share the high table with others, that being said the table is large enough for that not to be a problem) Like all Spanish tapas, there was a variety of foods, all in small portions but good for sharing and if you are the kind who likes to try anything but not too much of everything! We ordered the squid ink paella, saffron scampi paella, mushroom and ham croquette (the different types), steak, octopus, prawns, char grilled vegetables, pork belly and lamb~~~ mmm so satisfying πŸ˜›πŸ˜› price point is q high, perhaps it is more for a celebratory dinner or for after work drinks but definitely worth every cent

Finally tried this highly raved about cafe !!!! Ordered the acai smoothie bowl (cup) for $7++ which is rly quite worth it and I rly liked the crunch on the top from the granola as well as the array of fruits, except it was only at the top :---((( plus bc the cup is so narrow, it was difficult to dig into the acai below without topping falling off (maybe I am just clumsy heh) but was q sad that the rest of the cup was just the acai and coconut chia pudding with no more crunch. Perhaps I for one enjoy layer upon layer of "goodies", not just at the top and no where else but nonetheless the flavour was good!!! The large one ($12++) comes in a bowl which I supposed will be much easier to eat ~~~ we ordered the Viking salad as well with a variety of meats like salmon/meatballs/chicken and tofu etc. which despite looking a little dull in color, tasted q flavorful :-) I will go back again to try something else for sure, in the meantime maybe I'll just think of what to order while preparing for my next visit πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌβ˜ΊοΈ

Ordered the chicken galbi for $55++ with add on noodles for another $3.90 and wah rly so good πŸ‘…πŸ‘…πŸ‘…πŸ‘… so impressed by how well the melted cheese around the sides coated the dish and made it even more flavorful than it already was!!!!! Truly shiok I am thinking about going back for second already

Finally tried the salmon mentai don ($10) after it has been raved about for so long!!!! As well as the pork katsu ($7)!!!! Honestly in terms of the quality of the food, this place does deliver. The pork katsu was crispy and tender with a thin yet flavorful curry that goes with the rice and the salmon mentai don was creamy, generous with the salmon and packed with a punch. I enjoyed the food thoroughly although due to the fact that my expectations for ambience did not match with that of the place, perhaps I will not visit again.
