I haven't had whipped cream on my frap in a long while. But how can I resist the green tea infused whipped cream especially when this is only my first cup?! The green tea powder made the whipped cream less sweet and more tolerable for me.
The best time to eat bingsu is when there are 1-for-1 offers. No special occasion - except that we've got The Entertainer App! The offers are applicable for regular and large sizes, so isn't it worth it?!
We had regular Injeolmi ($10.90) and Green Tea ($11.90) bingsu with milk. A tad too bad there is no more soya milk, but both tasted great! Nothing to complain when we only paid $10.90 for 2 bingsu. Simply love the chewy rice cakes found inside Injeolmi!
Never tired of Kaisendon but there is hardly any that's comparable to Teppei's. This bowl of Kaisendon didn't have chunks of sashimi and personally I don't think it's worth $16.
Nonetheless, Platform M is a higher end food court which serves dishes from restaurants in a food court setting. Probably other stalls would be more worthy.
Just found out that KEK has another outlet at Pandan Gardens which is definitely less crowded than the Alexandra one. Check out their platter ($32) and sambal kangkong ($10) which are 👍👍! We ordered the salted egg sotong too. If you think the platter is too much, you should definitely try their Mingzhu roll and prawn ball!
Total damage for 5 adults including drinks: $66.40.
P.S. I saw that they have some fusion burgers like marmite pork burger, prawn paste chicken burger etc. Price looks reasonable too!
My second visit to Monster Curry. I remember during my first visit, I wasn't sure of the spiciness and only ordered extra spicy (Level 2). This time round, I got the monster spicy (Level 5)! Considering that my tolerance level for spiciness is very high, Level 5 was quite nothing. But it tasted nice overall since anything more than that would possibly ruin the taste of the Japanese curry. The pork katsu was juicy and tender, and the serving was generous - worth the money ($13++)!
Traditional phad thai with prawns sold at only 50 baht. There is only one stall at the level 5 food court that sells phad thai. Choose the vermicelli one as it is the rice noodles that we are familiar with! While the phad thai may already have been cooked for a while, and they just scooped it onto a plate upon order, it still tastes good! They placed the condiments at the front of the stall for customers to add to their liking. 👍
Side note: To order food from any of the stalls, you would need to purchase a card at the "coupon" counter. A safe estimate would be 100 to 200 baht per pax. Remember to get a refund of the amount in the card before you leave the food court!
We ordered the Menu Set B ($48), Army Stew with cheese ($38+3), and grapefruit soju ($15). I hardly drink soju and the grapefruit one actually tastes quite nice! All these food for 4 adults and we were actually very full from it.

It's my first time eating at 南華昌 and I must say they are fast at serving the dishes despite the crowd. We arrived at 7.10pm on a Saturday evening and were given a table right away. The tze char dishes were served within 15 mins of ordering. Of course other than tze char dishes, everyone who eats here would order their 鱼头炉。By the time we finished our five dishes (招牌蚝蛋, 鱿鱼蕹菜, 南乳花肉, 金块豆腐, 三捞河粉), we had to wait for another 10-15 mins before the 鱼头炉 was served. You could see how busy the kitchen is preparing all the steamboats.
The large pieces of pomfret fillets were so fresh and the soup was tasty because of the 扁鱼. Total damage: $19 per pax inclusive of drinks.
Must try: 白昌鱼头炉, 鱿鱼蕹菜, 南乳花肉
Worth trying: 金块豆腐
