Although they are slightly pricer than most cafes, the food served was definitely worth the money that you pay for. The white miso cod was goooood 👍👌 (better than the ones I've had at five and dime 🙊🙊). Also in the picture: Grilled beef steak.
Pancakes with banana and walnuts ($14) / Kopitiam works ($8) (bottom right) / Slow roasted Hoisin Har Cheong Pulled Pork Mantou ($9) / Coriander Garlic Chilli Prawn Linguine ($17). FFT has gotta be the most affordable cafe food ever and they actually do not shortchange you the amount of food. The Kopitiam works is a very good example when the comparison is made with an eggs Benedict that can easily cost ($13.90)
Tourte Saumon Epinard - eggplant, Parmesan cheese, green pesto and fresh tomatoes in a savory custard and a flaky puff pastry shell. Salad Crevettes Mangue - Batavia leaves topped with (frozen) prawns, mango, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Crepe complete - turkey and cheese in a thin French pancake topped with a fried egg. Atas hotdog cheese baguette
Pure Jee (dark chocolate fans 👋✋👋✋) and Macarons
Healthy (sort of, if you choose the ingredients healthily) and awesome (because I don't have to pick out stuffs that I don't eat/like).
Went on a weekday during dinner time and the ambience was lovely 👌 I had the duck confit panini ($20) that was toasted with cheese and mushroom and a side of greens may while my mum had the braised beef cheeks with mash ($29). The food wasn't the best (i wouldn't go back specially for the food) but the ambience was really lovely and the service staff were all very meticulous and attentive so I guess all is good!
Nutella generously slabbed in between layers of soft and moist bread pudding topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everything screams diabetic yet I don't find it sweet 😱😱 but if you have an even sweeter tooth, they have extra chocolate sauce for you 😉😉
Prices range from $4-$6. For $6, it includes 3 big fishballs, 2 regular fishballs, 2 fish dumplings and 1 taupok with fish paste. The noodles were of the right doneness and the regular fishballs were springy. The bigger fishballs were more fuller in taste and texture! We were quite lucky because we came in before the crowd, otherwise the wait could be as long as an hour! Opened until 3am, this is the ideal supper place if you're craving for fishball noodles!
Melbourne imported froyo spotted in TPY!!! Super near to creamier. The sweetness and sourness was very well balanced and the flavors were pronouncedly brought out. It was very smooth as well. My fave has gotta be mango & soy and chocolate. They've other unique flavors like green tea, coconut and pomegranate! Their toppings are not the usual ones you see as well, from chia seeds (for the health conscious) to cheesecake and rocky road. There's bound to be something you like from the wide variety that they've to offer. Going at $3.8/100g, I don't think I will crave for Sogurt anymore! Frozen is the way to go! (Just that it's a little far from home 😂😂)
Deep fried doughnuts soaked in maple syrup and topped with bacon bits! It can get a little too sweet!
Peach crumble with vanilla bean ice cream!
Deliciously Rich bourbon pecan pie with fig and honey ice cream. The flavors of both item complimented each other. My fave dessert for the night!
Thank you burpple for organizing this food tasting! It's always enjoyable to meet people who love to eat! 😊😁😁
Blackened pork collar that was served alongside mashed potato, fine beans, thyme and plated with garlic cream sauce. A very meaty dish (though nothing compared to the beast burger)
24 hour buttermilk chicken atop a light and crispy waffle accompanied by bourbon maple butter sauce. This has gotta be my fave main course, the chicken skin was super crispy yet it wasn't very oily, the meat was very soft and tender as well. The waffles, although not out of the world went well with the chicken. Would be better if it came along with some coleslaw or salad.
The beast burger was one crazy epic burger. It was so frigging huge we all had trouble finishing it. Slow cooked pulled pork, southern buttermilk fried chicken and beef patty all between two butter buns. It was a pretty alright dish but they could have seasoned the beef more cause it was kinda bland.
