That ginger mousse on top the truffle beef bowl was quite interesting, and the truffle fries were crunchy and of the texture that I like, just not exactly truffle-scented (more like regular fries with cheese shavings) ๐
Rice was fragrant but clearly not cooked using the claypot. Beef was tender but serving was small.
The ginger foam was really yummy on its own but when mixed together with the rice (as advised by the waitress) it made the bowl a little too wet. The beef was okay though, nothing too fantastic.
The rice is super yummy with the wok hei taste. The bowl is a gimmick and wasnโt cooked w the rice but a good touch for plating purposes! The beef was okay, nothing fantastic.

This place is like a hidden gem. We only chanced upon it while looking for a place that isnโt packed during lunchtime on a Saturday.
This bowl is goodness is definitely value for money! Perfectly grilled wagyu with onsen egg and pink ginger foam. Highly recommended!
[Somerset] Just like their famed desserts from @fatcatsg our Short Rib Claypot Rice ($24) and Black Pepper Wagyu Bowl ($22) from @stray.sg came to our table cold. The pink ginger foam was interesting but it could not redeem the beef which was frankly average, with a black pepper sauce which needed more kick, and an โOnsen eggโ which came soft boiled like Ya Kun instead. The short rib was flavourful though, atop rice which was fragrant and salty. I wanted very much to like this, but I felt that itโs slightly overpriced for the taste and portion. The pink ginger foam was initially refreshing, but tasted too sweet as it started to melt. However, the beef slices were tender and flavourful, even though they were kind of small.
