The House Chung Dam offers a thoughtfully curated dining experience, with an elegant yet comfortable ambience that makes it suitable for both casual occasions and more special evenings. The service was attentive and well-paced, with staff demonstrating professionalism and a good understanding of the menu.
What stood out most were the cuts—fresh, high-quality, and prepared with care, allowing the natural flavours to come through. The makgeolli was another highlight, smooth and well-balanced, complementing the meal beautifully. Overall, the freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail made the experience both satisfying and memorable.
It is certainly a place I would revisit, especially for its consistent quality and well-executed Korean cuisine.
The House Chungdam is a unique Kbbq experience that stands out from the rest of the options along Tanjong Pagar.
Unlike the typical kbbq spots, it has a warm, minimalist setting with bright lighting, creating a clean, upscale aesthetic.
The food did not disappoint as well. I liked how they introduced dishes that differ from standard kbbq fare, like the potato cheese jeon. As a huge proponent of cold noodles with kbbq, I love the mini cold noodles option that served as a perfect complement to round off a hearty meal.
An elevated Korean BBQ spot that goes beyond the usual. The menu offers a unique twist on classic dishes, with highlights like the potato cheese jeon that you don’t typically find at standard KBBQ places.
The vibe is on point: lively, a little upscale, but still super comfortable. Perfect balance for a great night out. The food was hearty, flavorful, and overall delicious.
My partner and I had such a great experience- we left full and happy. Definitely coming back, and 100% recommend for date nights, family dinners or catching up with friends.
This restaurant's interior has a minimalist modern premium vibe.
Had the Beef BBQ set with an additional order of beef tongue Meat quality was juicy, especially the thicker cuts very satisfying.
Along with the set was the Doenjang jjigae had a good depth not salty just nice and the Steamed egg was a nice comfort side.
Banchan was fresh ! Wrap it all up with garlic + homemade ssamjang and it hits. Food was great ordered a Naeng myeon (cold noodles) to finish it off the broth was flavourful and refreshing great with the BBQ meat too 😍
Service was smooth, ventilation good overall a very chill, date-friendly place.
The House Chungdam has a really nice ambience. Went for the house feast for 2, which comes with boneless short rib, marinated rib eye cap, thinly sliced brisket, plus doenjang jjigae and steamed egg.
The MB9+ short rib and rib eye cap were the stars of the show, juicy and flavorful.
The doenjang jjigae was surprisingly good, thick and really umami. Would come back again!
The House Feast offered standout cuts like the tender, juicy boneless short rib and well-marinated rib eye, alongside a comforting, well-seasoned soybean soup, though the thinly sliced brisket was slightly dry. Paired with good service (including staff-assisted grilling) and a calm, uniquely styled ambience with private room options, the overall dining experience was enjoyable and well worth a visit.
