Decent variety. Nice atmosphere. The food is good and reasonably priced for Orchard Rd location. Staff are pleasant, but service is not proactive. We had to ask for everything: napkins (only one provided for two pax!!), tea refills, etc.
Beware : the dishes are much bigger in photos than in real life!

Cooking is more refined than other Indians in the area. Not quite Yantra or Rang Mahal, but not as expensive either. Nice ambience and décor, although a bit claustrophobic because it’s in windowless basement. Deserted when we visited.

We had the Yuki Omakase ($200++) at lunch. Most pieces are excellent, especially the tuna appetiser, otoro, uni, and unagi. The rice dish is underwhelming. Very professional service. If we had the omakase with cooked dishes, maybe it would be more at par with other top sushi counters in Singapore.

The lechon is good - crispy skin and moist meat. Service is poor - slow at delivering asked items and with a grumpy face. Prices are high for the quality of the premises.

Sushi Tei is the equivalent of Crystal Jade Kitchen for mid-level Japanese dining in Singapore. Not the best, but reliable quality and reasonable pricing make it a dependable place . We have been loyal customers for 30 years now.

CJ HK Kitchen is the leader in mid-level Chinese dining in Singapore. It also works hard at regularly adding items to the menu, sometimes branching out of Cantonese cuisine. We have been going to CK (especially the HK Kitchen brand) almost every month since 1993.

Excellent pao fan. Reasonably priced. One of my fav stalls at Taka food court.
