Dig into their Khao Kha Moo Pasta, which sees a rendition of the classic Thai dish with braised pork leg and braised egg atop al dente spaghettini.

The Kelong Happy Bucket comes in three sizes; small (2 pax, $129), medium (3-4 pax, $199) and large (5-6 pax, $269), and it contains ingredients such as Sri Lankan crab, crayfish, grey prawns, black mussels, lala, corn, enoki mushroom, fish slices, king oyster, Korean clams, gong gong, pork sausage, potatoes, and buns. All the kinds of seafood and more that you love in a seafood boil can be found in this bucket, which makes it a great gathering meal and be the topic of the conversations. After you have chosen the bucket size, you can then choose one of three sauces that are available from the Furikake Butter Sauce to Spicy Kelong and Koream Omo Omo. I picked the Spicy Kelong which is made up of a spicy tamarind and Vietnamese mint mixture which has a tangy-spicy kick that complements the sweetness of the seafood.

with Barley Risotto, Parisienne Pears and Marsala Duck Jus

The duck flesh was meltingly tender, moist and flavourful with a nice crisp on the skin. The meat shreds and fall off the bone easily and pairs so well with the marsala gravy. This is super worth the Beyond deal!

Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 Main Dish for the price of 1 ✌ (U.P $28)

Delicious and flavourful prawn soup. I think it's one of the best I've tasted so far. The ngoh hiang is very crispy and the sauce is very tasty! Highly recommend that you drop by this place to try for yourself!

This is a really cosy, dog-friendly cafe with house rules in place (dogs have to be leashed) so that diners will not be disturbed. The space is clean, family-friendly and not too rowdy.

I popped by for dessert and the Ice Cream on waffles were good enough. I was served the wrong order as I suppose one of the flavours were recorded wrongly as told to me by the server, but they were still polite and it didn't bother me too much so I didn't insist on having it changed. I got the Rocher flavor as well as the After 8 (Mint Chocolate) and the former was rich with hazelnut flavor. I loved it. The latter, the After 8 was slightly lighter than expected but I suppose it is also what the mint in After 8 tastes like. They also pounded the chocolate and added it into the ice cream which made for nice layers in texture. Waffles were decent especially served in the ice cream with your choice of Maple or Chocolate syrup.

I had an Iced Lychee Tea and it was yummy! It was flavored but not too sweet, and still a full-bodied mason cup of tea.

For the Fried Chicken, we were allowed to mix 2 flavors (choose from spicy, soy and original) and we chose the first two. The chicken comes in the form of wings (note: each drumstick and wing count as 1 pc separately) and unfortunately even though it was pinned as a Chef's Recommendation, I didn't find it that good. It is extremely affordable however, and the wings were fried well but the sauces it came dressed in leave more to be desired. Soy was the better one of the two, and I would skip the spicy; Korean spicy chicken is usually a sweet-spicy glaze but this one was literally Korean chilli paste slapped on chicken wings.

This was served with half a serving of ramyeon and a bowl of rice. Inside the stew was tofu, spam, fatty pork, kimchi and fish cake in generous servings.

Whilst I did enjoy this dish and it was good as army stews go, I wish there was more soup and it was served hotter. It was the first dish to serve and came on its own, but was lukewarm, and quickly got colder as I ate. A 7/10 but would have been higher if served hot.

‼️Beyond Deal Update: On Burpple it says the main dishes eligible for this deal would only be ricebowls and mains, but they said those were from before their relocation, and the deal has now extended to rice, noodles and soup, with exclusion of Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup. Also, note that the updated menu has more options than the one shown on Burpple e.g. there are 6 soup options instead of 3. You can Google their website for the updated menu‼️

A very modern-looking, Korean-Western fusion cafe! I visited for dinner and the place had very chill vibes—think dim setting, stylish furniture, neon lights and vibey K-pop music from a proper sound system. None of that loud, jarring Korean music here. At 730pm on a weekday, I didn't require a booking but the place was at around 50% capacity.

We ordered a couple of mains, their Korean Fried Chicken ($10 for 6pc) and some drinks. The wings were fried well but the sauces it came dressed in leave more to be desired. Soy was the better one of the two, and I would skip the spicy; Korean spicy chicken is usually a sweet-spicy glaze but this one was literally Korean chilli paste slapped on chicken wings.

The Yuzu Soda ($5.50) was well concocted and the Iced Mint Latte ($6) was interesting as it was served blue, with a wheat-base. I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not but it was neither good nor bad.

And for the mains,

Boy: Bulgogi Carbonara ($16) as pictured; this was a star dish that came with an onsen egg and beef sukiyaki slices. The meat was sweet-savory and just so well done; on its own would easily be a 9/10. The carbonara too was full-bodied and a solid 7/10 but I felt like they are meant to be separate dishes and not served together. Overall an 8/10.

Girl: Army Stew ($15) this was served with half a serving of ramyeon and a bowl of rice.

All in all this was a really nice cafe and I was pleasantly surprised by the nice vibes. The staff was polite enough and it was a good experience. It's a bit far away for me but I don't mind coming back again. With Beyond, our bill came up to $39.90 after taxes, which I find extremely reasonable for the spread and ambience.

Ambience: 9/10
Service: 7.5/10
Food: 8/10
Price: 8/10 (with Beyond)

I have been here a few times and there is always a rather long queue so don't come when you are hungry. The eatery is narrow and always a bit noisy, but so far the food has been consistently good. Ramen is served hot (not all places do) but their signature tonkotsu broth is normal to me compared to their branches with other specialty broth.
