first time at dumpling darlings and I'm in love with the cosy environment, friendly, helpful staff and superb food! the miso mushroom noodles is delicious. noodles are really chewy and flavourful. as its our first time, the staff suggested we tried the set with almost all the dumpling flavours! my fav is the spicy szechuan dumpling while my bf loves the smoked duck dumplings.
the dumpling skin and oil did not overpower the taste of the dumpling fillings which is a plus point.
their ice teas were really refreshing and it complements the food.
Can't wait to be back!

I'm hungry now as I'm typing this. I like the lor mee here, where there were fresh fried sea bream meat (Ang Go Li Fish) accompanied with slices of braised pork belly, half a braised egg, bean sprouts, parsley, freshly grinded garlic paste, a dash of vinegar and chilli.. all of which sits atop the thick, flat yellow noodles.

This isn't a new stall. It first started in the 1980s, but just reopened after an 8-year hiatus. Mr Goh is still using the recipe passed down by from his mother-in-law, culminating in a bowl of yellow flat noodles with signature gravy made from potato starch, chinese herbs and spices.. all left to boil over long hours.

I first visited this stall because I'm supporting my friend @spadely and his dad's lor mee, and found that I really like it. Give this a try and let me know if you love it too?

I finally visited @pocolocosg at Royal Square today (after reading a gazillion good reviews) and I still can’t wrap my head around how good and affordable their pasta is! We ordered Cold Cappelini ($20) for appetiser and I am impressed that the portion is actually quite big and great for sharing. The cold angel hair pasta with truffle oil, Hokkaido scallop, sea urchin and kombu captures the sweetness of the ocean, is generously infused with the fragrance of truffle oil and a refreshing treat amidst the 33 degree celcius heat:) For this level of quality and authenticity, I am super impressed with the prices, which are much lower than many cafes out there. Furthermore, there is no service charge for the outlet at Royal Square😱 Definitely a hit for me:)!

Honky tonk was the only chicken burger.
Buttermilk free-range fried chicken, coleslaw, lettuce, pickles, Big Poppa ā€˜hot sauce’ & den miso mayo in a toasted baked rice bun. $17++
Burning man is 150g Black Angus beef patty, smoked applewood cheddar, roasted jalapeƱo relish, hot ketchup & dashi mayo in a toasted whole meal bun. $20++
However, the Baby Huey is still the best. $17.

Didn’t get the chance to try them while they were at Amoy, but now they’ve got a nice cozy space right in the heart of Somerset. This came upsized and with a black sesame mochi and miso soup. Despite not being served hot, I quite enjoyed the tender slices of beef, though they were quite thin. The yogurty sauce was refreshing and the wobbly onsen egg burst on cue. Tasty and worth a try, but not sure if it’s something I’d crave for.

Enjoyed my bacon and chip butty: imagine bacon, hashbrown and sunny side egg with a runny yolk sandwiched in a soft bun. Their beef stew with mash is pretty good too.

Located at 24 Sin Ming Road, #01-51 Jin Fa Kopitiam, Singapore 570024. It’s been awhile since we are back.. Specially make a detour to tapao Sin Ming Roti Prata, Coin Prata!! Superb!! This small coin prata shape is unique and it taste so good because of its shape, giving added crispiness and flavours to it!! Goes well with or without the curry! Yummy!!! We also tried their Sardine Prata and it’s pretty delicious too! Still loving these coin pratašŸ‘šŸ¼ #hungryunicornsg #sinmingrotiprata #coinprata #rotiprata #prata

Their braised pig intestines and braised pork rice’s the bomb! Paired with pipin’ hot pig organ soup, this is the perfect meal in SG rainy weather.

These are so good! Instead of the usual brown sugar, these ones have fresh coconut!! Take a bite and the natural aroma of pandan leaves seeps through šŸ’ŽšŸŒæ

Top Left - Truffle Mushroom Burger (Single - $8.00) with Cuban Fries add-on with set = $3.50. Ala Carte = $4.50
Top Right - Country Fried Chicken Burger (Single - $5.50) with free Fried Fries
Bottom Left - Nacho Fish & Chip Burger (Single - $5.90) with Truffle Fries add-on with set = $3.50) Ala Carte = $4.50
Bottom Right - Burgs' Bacon and Cheese Burger (Single - $7.00) with free Fried Fries.

In overall, I found that its burger size is quite small and not that filling. I felt that Nacho Fish & Chip Burger really not fantastic and the fish is quite dry. I think their standard have dropped a bit for fish burger. I think I should be try Country Fried Chicken Burger next time.

Donuts do-nut have to be sinful! Kakuida’s sells baked donuts made from rice flour from Japan mixed with ā€œkurozuā€, which is a Japanese black vinegar celebrated for its health benefits. The Original Baked Donut ($1.90) reminded me of a castella-like texture: spongy yet dense. It had just the right sweetness and even though the kurozu is mixed in the dough, I couldn’t taste an ounce of sourness. There are other flavours like matcha, chocolate, sweet potato, and you can add chocolate chips at an additional cost. Definitely going back for more! šŸ©šŸ©šŸ©
