Fun snack but damn spicy.
Refreshing.
This attracted me as it has 12 Korean medicines and it's non-alcoholic. I ended up regretting. It tasted like the powdered drink from TCM, which I already hate but now I'm paying extra for?
The Messy ‘Nicoise’ Salad ($21.50) came with smashed potatoes and salmon, hard boiled egg, romaine, red onion, long beans, dill and caper sauce, toasted buckwheat and sour cream. I’m not a salad person so I only tried the potato and salmon - I’m pleasantly surprised that the smashed potato is crisp on the outside and the salmon is not overcooked. The dressing is light and nice.
This is my first visit to Moonchild and I think I might have hit jackpot: The Pork Dan Dan Scallion Noodles ($21) was sooo good!
I was immediately greeted by the fragrance of the scallion green sauce once the noodle was served, even before I dug into it. The knife cut noodles came with mala crisp pork, braised shiitake, grilled mushrooms, long bean, cucumber and onsen egg. This was absolutely delicious - definitely something I will return for.
Lovely chicken that also comes with eggplant.
Shoyu-brushed corn that's fried and torched and served with shichimi. Horse mackerel breaded and fried.
This is where I always head for my roast cravings! 88 Hong Kong Roast Specialist never disappoints. Their roast meat shines with crispy crackling and tender, juicy meat. The char siew is perfectly caramelized, balancing sweet and smoky flavors. Succulent roasted duck with aromatic spices completes the platter. Noodles are al-dente with a nice bite, topped with soft and gooey lava egg. Simple, satisfying, and always a winner!
