My brother-in-law highly recommends this Chinese restaurant that specialises in seafood. And boy, is he right.
We feasted like kings last night on what the Chinese call 好料 (or “ho leow” in Hokkien). Essentially, it means premium produce. One of which was this platter of 大头虾 (“dai tow har” in Cantonese). Steamed with julienned spring onions on a shallow bed of egg white, these huge prawns (check out how small my spoon looks in comparison) were truly sweet and juicy with a firm crunchy bite.

The perfectly cooked pinkish meat is served with parmesan mash, greens, baby carrots and natural jus. When you have a premium piece of meat, there is no need to do anything fancy but just let the natural flavour does its own talking.

Rich, creamy smooth duck foie gras terrine, sandwiched with crisp puff pastry, topped with apple & blueberry gel!

Known as 'Matsu El Picaro', which means 'the rogue', this youthful spirit is produced in the vineyards around the Zamora province, Castile And Leon region, Spain.

With a vivid ruby red colour, aroma of ripe berries and dry spice, full robust body that is smooth and refreshing.
Pairs well with red meat, tomatoes, sharp cheeses, and spicy food. Love it!

When I saw the plate of red Uni that Harada-san brought out, I exclaimed that they are so beautiful, to which he said that it's the first time he heard that from a customer. Haha. I'll torture you guys with more uni, when you least expect it. 😏 @sushimitsuya

located at sentosa cove, this place surely renders a visit if you are driving! i love dinners at sentosa cause it's so convenient for me haha!

also look at the pretty lights and that vodka chocolate lava cake. it was so good!! i loved the mains too.. drop by and have a lovely night having htht with your companion and a couple of drinks maybe? 😊

At Indian fusion eatery Maziga Indian Grill, the round and crispy Old Delhi Golgappa Chat comes with refreshing tubes of chilled jaljeera oxide (powdered herbs that have been given a Heston-esque treatment of liquid nitrogen) bursting with great flavours. This sweet, tangy and spicy evening snack is loved by everyone in the dining table!

If only this is brunch, I'll spring out of bed. Savoury rice coated with two types of fresh uni, topped with minced chu-toro and ikura, my mini bowl of heaven.

You are not going to miss this for the world... even the NDP can wait (oops). I'm sure Lolla is now synonymous with this dish and that's what pops up when you google either of these words. Having waited longer than I would with trying this delicacy would be what I am really regretting. That said I am not a big uni fan until I tasted it served at Niji (now closed). This pudding made of mainly squid ink, egg yolk, cream and tomato purée really lives up to expectations. Even my partner whom I would never imagine her taking uni, said it gives this appetizer a unique flavor that is hard to describe..."Ummmmph, I'd need another spoonful to tell you" she quipped.
