Had a lovely dinner at Hopscotch, started off with the Black Garlic Ribeye served with bone marrow butter. The meat was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of richness. I liked that it wasn’t overly fatty, and the brussels sprouts added a nice roasted crunch alongside the brandy sauce.
My favourite of the night was definitely the Sweet and Sour Sticky Pork Ribs. The meat was so soft it came off the bone effortlessly, and the glaze had that familiar tangy-sweet kick that reminded me of a classic Chinese dish. It was such a nice mix of comfort and creativity.
For the cocktail, I started with the Mid-Autumn Delight. It even came with the cutest handcrafted mango and yuzu snow-skin mooncake. Honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. it was light, flavourful, and so well thought out. this was so cute!!!!
The drinks were so creative I couldn’t resist getting another the Summer Fling. This was so good, the presentation of this cocktail was so unique and literally top notch. It was like drinking a dessert which brought back heaps of childhood memories!!
The customer service was extremely good and I am so pleased with the service staff especially the manager! 12/10 tbh 🫶🏻
We had a really nice dinner at Hopscotch. We first ordered the Black Garlic Ribeye Steak and bone marrow butter, seasoned with sesame roasted brussels sprouts and brandy sauce. It was really juicy and tender, not overly oily nor jelat. Good portion of meat as well with not so much fat.
We then got the Sweet and Sour Sticky Pork Ribs that was my personal favourite. The meat was so tender and literally falling off the bone, omg. Paired with a side dish of veggies done in traditional Chinese sweet and sour style, perfect blend of Western with a local twist.
For cocktails, I got the Lion City tiki (comes with the Merlion) that was in such a cute setup!!! I would say it’s the perfect beach drink that isn’t too sweet but nicely balanced between being citrusy/ light and still having that rum blend. You can rlly taste the kumquat and sugarcane notes which gives it that homely and local taste.
Next, I got the A Decade in Time, which is Hopscotch’s signature cocktail mix for their 10th anniversary. This one is sweeter with Soursop and Calamansi notes to it, with a flowery taste as well, thanks to its Apple Flower and Kumquat Gin base. Came in an hourglass and infinity mirror light which made the whole thing a tad more magical.
10/10 recommend, staff was super detailed in explaining the background of each drink as well ❤️
This place serves up an interesting fusion, and I particular enjoyed their incorporation with SG themed food/cocktails.
This cocktail has a strong rum to pair with the sweet pandan waffle/kaya foam which I enjoyed thoroughly.
Most of their cocktails come with a theme which enhances your experience.
great place for some after work chill dinner and drinks with a great ambience. had a medium ribeye steak which was surprisingly good! super tender meat and paired well with the charred brussel sprouts and hummus - definitely the highlight and must-try of the menu. they had a wide range of cocktails too with a very unique story and concept behind each of them, worth a try if you're adventurous!
we enjoyed our dining experience here! they have a good selection of food and drinks and we had some unique dishes that we’ve never tried before! would recommend this place for a casual dinner and drinks
Such a cozy place for a steakhouse! The wagyu striploin was the highlight of the night! Highly recommend!
unique concoctions and interesting experience for cocktails! got to try the Mid Autumn Delight and Wish Upon a Lantern, with the staff actually lighting up the paper lantern in front of you. food wise, steak looked unassuming at first glance but it was surprisingly quite delicious, cooked perfectly to a medium rare and very tender.
Had a great dining experience at Meadesmoore tonight! Ordered a few dishes to try out their menu and every item had me wanting for more after the next bite.
We ordered a burrata to start off (also because I love burrata haha), which was served with a lavendar balsamic sauce, giving the dish a unique twist as you can taste hints of lavender at the end. They were also very generous with the heirloom tomatoes, which were so juicy and fresh!
We also got their steak as mains - the first bite really blew our minds with its intense flavour. I could taste applewood, giving the beef a smokey flavour but still not overpowering the natural taste of the meat. The waiter informed us that they dry age their meats to achieve this intense flavour profile, which was really interesting. Personally, I really enjoyed the flat iron cut, which was really tender yet still rich in flavour.
For dessert, we had the pavlova and cheesecake crepe, both of which were really unique and good too. The pavlova was sweet and sour served in a martini glass. Hidden within the meringue was lime sherbet, which paired beautifully with the meringue and sweet fruits. The cheesecake crepe was very creamy and I felt like I tasted some blue cheese in it too. Serving size was rather huge though - I think it’d be perfect to share for 4 pax.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their desserts, but Meadesmoore has shown that they are able ensure quality in all of their dishes, right from the starters all the way to their desserts. Service was also great, with the servers readily available to attend to us and accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend to check out Meadesmoore for special occasions!
The meal was enjoyable from start to finish, with a refreshing burrata salad enhanced by pomegranate and perfectly roasted mushrooms that paired well with both caramelised onions and the steak. The steak was tender, flavourful, and best enjoyed on its own to savour the subtle applewood aftertaste. Dessert was a highlight — beautifully presented in a martini glass with a sweet-sour balance, and the cheesecake was brûléed table-side for a nice touch. Overall, the cosy ambience, great food, and friendly, attentive service made for a memorable dining experience.
Terrible experience at the restaurant. Bad service. We were seated and ordered by 6.30pm. Told the staff we want to use burpple but she walked away. Carried on conversation with my guest without thinking too much about it. Until the moment I wanted to make payment then I realised i couldn't redeem it because it has to be done by 7pm.
Couldn't have seafood options either, even though it's not stated on the deal. I've been on burpple for some time but it's the first time I have had such a frustrating and embarrassing experience.
Pizzas were hard and not worth the price we paid. I'm so disappointed that I'm writing a review for the first time!
The staff should have asked me to redeem it after I told her I'm using it instead of walking away. What's worse is when the manager said, "yes a lot of people have an issue with this" which means they are aware of this and intentionally chose not to remind us. And the manager should also have showed empathy instead of saying, "the problem that you cannot redeem is between you and the burpple app. The condition is not by us."
Had a wonderful dining experience at this place! The steak was perfect and melt in the mouth. 10/10 would recommend! Ended the meal with tiramisu, which was rich and creamy.
ordered the fish&chips (fries were super good!) and ribeye steak, which was actually very tender. but the show stopper were the cocktails, i had ordered the Wish Upon a Lantern, where you could write down your wishes on the paper, before watching it get lit up, was q a fun experiece. and of course the drink was good as well! overall a good dining experience
