I guess they're famed for roast meats, and duck alone has several varieties. Good gamey flavour, skin not crispy but fat, and interesting sauce.
What's not to like? Fish skin and fried kangkong are both awesome.
Disappointing. Maybe it's meant to be a light touch of pudding tau huay's sweetness, but it's almost tasteless.
This dish attracted me to visit Dian Xiao Er for the first time. I'm a bit on the fence. There's almost no crab roe, unless the gravy is meant to be? Those in white are egg, not crabmeat. The beehoon was braised prior, but tasteless, so you'll need the gravy to rescue it.
Heard that Dian Xiao Er launches 16 wonderful dishes curated by their chefs from different outlet in celebration of their 20th year anniversary! I am excited with their Claypot Fish Curry available exclusively at the NEX outlet, so here I am.
Meaty Fish Tail in rich and aromatic curry spice served with assorted fresh vegetables, goes so well with a bowl of rice. We also ordered the must have Signature Herb Roasted Duck, Fish Maw Thick Soup with Seafood and Homemade Seaweed Tofu. Satisfying meal.

Dian Xiao Er boasts high quality food, wonderful ambience and high standards of service. Their Mongolian pork ribs have a smoky garlicky flavour with a chilli spice that gives you a certain kick. Vegetable dishes wise they are not oily nor too salty. Their signature herbal roast duck is really good as the dangui herbs will offset the usual gelat-ness of roast duck, making it really addictive. The service in Dian Xiao Er is amazing, as although we were at the corner table, they did not forget about our request and served our dinner promptly. What a wonderful meal!!!
