Recently I have been craving for sweet potato porridge and my son recommended this place. It has the 古早味 feel with all my childhood favorite side dishes like fried cabbage with shrimps, preserved salted vegetables (the pork really melts in your mouth), chai poh omelette etc.
This place really satisfied my craving in style men!
The porridge has a good portion of sweet potato which is my favourite.The cabbage with shrimp is a must order dish. It is so favourful. Highly recommended if you are looking for some comfort food.

Traditional food with affordable price. Love the sweet and sour pork and steam minced meat. Lots of parking lots and near to Kembangan mrt too.
We have Taiwan Porridge quite regularly and Guzaoren is really one of the best places for Taiwan Porridge in Singapore. Its menu is unpretentious, wholesome, diverse and yet traditional too. Every dish is cooked to order. Instead of the usual minced meat patty and omelette dishes we always order, we tried the black pepper beef for a change. It was satisfyingly good!
Had dinner at this restaurant and the dishes were great. Tried the hotplate beancurd and it had an original taste. Good to try!
