Had dinner here with a friend on Tuesday evening. We ordered the burger (which comes with fries), truffle fries, and claypot chicken rice. Highlight of the night was the claypot chicken rice, which came with chilli and a shot of chicken broth separately on the side which was quite unique. I especially liked the crispy scorched rice at the bottom which gave an extra layer of texture. Would recommend.
Solid satisfying dinner with nice and cosy setting. Porridge was comforting and food was tasty. Had the salted egg pork ribs, which was tender and flavourful! Claypot brinjal, with that wokhei infused into the dish, crispy Teochew prawn rolls, fluffy minced pork omelette, but the star dish was the Deep Fried Pomfret with Black Bean Sauce- well fried, and fins so crispy like crackers. Not too salty as well. We will be back!
Goes well with a side of porridge!
Went for a lovely dinner date here, ordered the qing long cai, cereal prawn and hotplate tofu, love the powerful flavour of the food there and not to mention everything is well seasoned, will definitely go back!
went there for a chill dinner date and the vibes were nice as there werenβt much customers, we ordered the cereal prawn which were really crispy, the hotplate tofu as the sauce was interesting in a good way and lastly the qing long cai which had flavourful on its own! for drinks we had their homemade barley and was surprisingly good!

Hotplate tofu is so tasty.
Cai poh omelette is plump and unique.
Stir fried green and sweet & sour pork.
Simple vibe.
Ordered the hainanese pork chop, fried squid and duck confit to try and the portions were really generous. The fried dishes was flavourful but not too oily and I throughly enjoyed the duck confit.
The ambience was great for a weeknight and definitely warrants a revisit.
A charming, cosy cafΓ© perfect for catching up with friends and family. The menu delights with crispy squid tentacles, Hainanese pork chop, and duck confitβeach dish served in generous portions and bursting with flavor. A truly satisfying experience from start to finish.

[KOVAN, SINGAPORE] Why did it take me so long to try this place??? Recently me and my friends decided to try out some peranakan food and the food here slaps hard π
There is one dish you MUST order, and that is their Honey Pork π― ($12.80 for small). This dish was the ultimate flavour bomb. Sweet and savoury, the pork slices were very well executed due to its tender meat and the amount of sauce that is coated around it. It was incredibly smoky as well, without being bitter at all. Such an additive dish I can eat with rice alone!
The Bakwan Kepeting π ($12.80 for small) will be my next recommendation. Yes the soup might look plain, but it had a good comforting flavour that will make you go for seconds! This soup came with 5 HUGE meatballs that were tender, flavourful and of course, meaty.
Ayam Buah Keluak π« ($15.80 for small) is another rice stealer, with a very thick, flavourful sauce that is just slightly spicy and sour. The earthy flavour comes deep from the buak keluak, and it's actually my first time trying this! Little did I know that it tastes like chocolate by itself??? However, I do have a gripe though... The chicken wasn't marinated long enough for the flavour to penetrate all the way in.
The Nyonya Chap Chye ($16.20 for large) was decent, nothing to shout out about. Do get their Nasi Kuning π ($1.40) to accompany all the dishes for that extra coconut kick!
With their comforting dishes and warm service, I'm definitely coming back for more π
