My partner took me to Ingleside for a dinner date and it honestly blew me away. We ordered the Iberico Chuletero and Wagyu Picanha, both cooked to absolute perfection. Not exaggerating when I say it was the best dry-aged Iberico I’ve ever had 🤩. I also tried Marsala sauce for the first time, and it completely surpassed my expectations (I even asked for extra). Watching the meats being grilled over a wood-fired flame just made the whole experience even better.
Special shoutout to the kombu-cured scallops which were so juicy and paired perfectly with the pickled green apples. Highly recommend trying that one!
The sourdough bread with miso butter, plus the lemon ginger spritzers, were perfect palate cleansers between bites. On top of all that, the staff were so warm and welcoming, and explained every dish with so much care. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for another amazing meal. 👏🏻
Love the restaurant's ambience. Their staff were also extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and food we ordered. We had their sourdough with fermented butter for starters, along with oysters, and hokkaido scallops. Aboslutely love the scallops with the dressing. The picanha beef was absolutely amazing. Super fragrant from the firewood and very tender. Their iberico is probably the best pork we have had. Went perfectly with their homemade Marsala wine sauce! Everything washed down with a refreshing home- made ginger lemon spritz. The whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely recommend coming here.
OBSESSED. The salmon tartare tartelette with caviar was insanely good. It was fresh, buttery, and just so moreish. The lamb loin was cooked to tender, flavour-packed perfection. Even the butter with the bread was divine?! I’m already planning my return. 10/10 recommend all to come here for a nice dinner occasion!
Started the dinner with fresh sourdough bread perfectly paired with fermented miso butter.
Lampino Ibérico Chuletero was incredibly nutty and rich, greatly impressed by the their pairing of marsala sauce and potato skin puree — a must try!
Wagyu Picanha was served with a side of salt which brought out the rich natural flavour of the beef that was also surprisingly tender.
Came over on a weekday evening and was welcomed with a posh and inviting ambience hidden behind a tinted door. Tried the Wagyu Picanha and Lampino Iberico.
The steak was flavourful and rich, tasted exquisite and surprisingly tender. The fat cap was a guilty pleasure.
Iberico on the other hand was incredibly nutty and sweet. The sauce/potato puree complimented the pork really well.
Pricey but the flavours are definitely worth every dollar.
Those looking for an elegant dining experience should look not further than Ingleside, A 5 minute stroll away from Maxwell MRT, we were blown away by the stylish decor, attentive service and, of course, impressive food, which was based around the techniques of fermentation, dry-ageing and wood-fire cooking.
For appetisers, the Hokkaido Scallops were fresh and were paired well with tangy fermented tomato dressing. The Grilled Asparagus was wonderfully crunchy with dollops of garlic aioli. The Truffle Pomme Puree was sinfully rich and not over seasoned, as with most truffle dishes.
For the mains, the dry-aged Wagyu Picanha was a bit rare than expected but still fared well with a markedly earthy taste and paired well with the aromatic banana shallots. The dry-aged Iberico Chuletaro was amazingly tender, with pickled mushrooms, charred corn brushed with beef garum, potato puree and marsala sauce punctuating the dish in sweet and sour notes.
The lemon and ginger spritzers made for a refreshing palate cleanser throughout our meal. The staff were also welcoming, attentive and even provided us with complimentary desserts to celebrate a birthday. Kudos to them!
Highly recommended for an intimate date night, or a fancy dinner out.
