had q high hopes for this place bec i saw a review raving abt authentic italian fare here but MAN what a scam 😭😭😭😭

texture of the ragu fettucine was soooo odd like it wasn't chewy nor soggy nor crispy but somehow a mix of all? idk there was no word to describe; also kinda js tasted like saizerya bolo but worse. i actl would rather have saizerya which is saying alot!!!! ☝🏻☝🏻😡

anyways the pesto was ok luh salty garlicy but if you're looking for the green grass taste it's not there lor. the cone shaped pasta q chewy (but not rly al dante... more like previously cooked then heated up in microwave type of texture) but pass la 6/10

w burpple i think can close one eye to the prices ($24 per pasta) but NO LA just pay full price at chicco pasta bar like 2 mins walk away pls πŸ™πŸ»

Got a friend group with some craving Japanese and others wanting Western? Fret not! Corner Bar L'Operetta has both.

Try their Kaisen Barachirashi Don, which features a combination of raw and cooked fish, tamago, and more! Their pastas are also excellent, like the super creamy and flavourful Smoked Duck Pasta. What’s even better is their Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 deal on pasta, pizzas, and donburis, making it a great value for everyone!

Tried the aburi salmon don. Portion was just nice. The salmon also tastes fresh. Would definitely come back for more! Maybe the pasta next?πŸ˜†

Pretty much enjoyed this Kaisen Barachirashi Don 🍚 ($20++) at @echizensg @operettacornerbar, which features a medley of salmon & tuna sashimi 🍣, unagi, ebi 🦐, tamago 🍳, cucumber πŸ₯’, ikura & tobiko! 🌟
.
Nothing can be more gratifying that seeing this array of seafood lying atop a bed of fluffy Japanese rice! 😍 Sashimi was fresh & chunky, with a generous amount of tobiko & some popping ikura which added some umami to the bowl. πŸ‘πŸ»
.
Be warned that the portion is quite small (probably enough for a lady but might not be the case for a hungry man πŸ˜‚). Oh yes, this came with a small serving of miso soup πŸ₯£ too.

Ordered two pasta dishes with the 1-for-1 Burpple Beyond deal. Pastas were not bad but pricey without the deal. Restaurant is conveniently located right beside Telok Ayer MRT and very easy to get to.

Front - Anatra Confit Con Prosciutto E Crema ($29): Duck leg confit, parma ham, Porcini mushroom, cream sauce.
Back - Garganelli Con Salsa Tatufata E Porcini ($28): Minced pork, parmesan cheese, creamy truffle sauce, Porcini mushroom.
Prices above are before GST.

We personally preferred the Garganelli because it was a lot more flavourful and impressionable, probably because of the truffle sauce.

Extremely dry and tasteless, very difficult to swallow. Plain bun with a few thin parma ham and cheese slices. Disappointing.
