Down with a pesty cough all week. ๐ฎโ๐จ So we made our way to Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre for a much-needed fix of zi char goodness. We were greeted with heartwarming smiles: โItโs been a long time since we last saw you!โ And yes, indeed. Itโs been over two years since our last visit.
This comforting, earthy and packed with flavour โ braised egg tofu, tender roast pork and fresh, succulent prawns with eggy gravy is definitely the cure I needed (and maybe a little help for that annoying cough too ๐).

Chicken was tender all around, surprising as usually spring chicken at most places will be fried till hard. The meat was juicy and oily.
The skin was crispy, the batter used was damn good.
Coleslaw was wonderfully think and creamy. Damn shiok.
Comes with a fried bun that was fried till crisp. Shiok!
For those staying around Taman Jurong should probably familiar with the shop named Ice Cream Man and Friends that used to located inside Taman Jurong Shopping Centre.
I been there before when they still serving proper foods. They had since closed down and focus mainly on ice cream offerings with a kiosk at Botanic Garden now.
Located near to Bukit Timah gate, this dog friendly ice cream shop is a perfect spot to grab some cooling dessert after your activities at the park.
The meat and rice were both ABIT dry
I figured out why their red bean is special. It's got cinnamon inside, no wonder there's a slight fruitiness.
The red bean itself is still V good, although the skin is ABIT tough

- Combination of plum and lemon was refreshingly sour which I liked, balanced with sweetness from white peach!

- Similar to a cream puff exterior, bun was crunchy with a crackling cookie layer!
