Pan‑fried to a golden crisp on one side, these gyoza hold juicy, tender pork wrapped in thin, slightly chewy skin. Each bite gives you that satisfying crunch followed by a burst of savoury flavour 》$6 / 6 pcs
A bold and comforting bowl with thick tonkotsu broth infused with black garlic and spicy kick. The noodles are firm and chewy, soaking up all that rich flavour. Topped with stir‑fried pork belly, tender pork loin chashu, flavoured egg and seaweed, it’s hearty and satisfying. With free‑flow eggs and bean sprouts on the side, this ramen feels indulgent yet comforting 》$21.40
($9.90) come with green tea and at least I felt that ichikoudo ramen broth was quite thick and also their chicken slices was really not having flavour and just plain aftertaste.
[RAFFLES PLACE, SINGAPORE] If you are looking for another ramen spot in CBD, @ramen_matsuri is another place to consider. I tried both their soup and dry ramen and I must say, I very much prefer their dry version.
The Original Taiwan Mazesoba 🍜 ($14.80) boasts quite a variety of ingredients with thick cut noodles underneath. For me I feel like the noodles and seasoning sauce are very important in a mazesoba, and their rendition was superb. It had the right amount of savoury and meaty flavour that isn't too cloying, and can be further enhanced with a dash of vinegar they give at the side. With the acidity and chewy noodles, this was very addictive. Definitely one of the best mazesoba I've had. Extra noodles is FREE too!!
I also tried their Yokohama Tonkotsu Ramen 🍜 ($16.80) and I must warn you that it's REALLY thick and meaty. The broth itself can be quite salty and incredibly meaty, which may not be for everyone. They use the same thick noodles that are very al dente. I must say, as much as I like such ramen broth, it really got quite cloying as the taste is quite one-dimensional. It's still decent ramen, but definitely not one of the best I've had!
Please get their Karaage 🐔 ($5.50 for 2) as well, as these were chunky, meaty, juicy and yet so flavourful. Garlic Gyoza 🥟 ($8 for 6) was decent but nothing much to shout out about.
Will come back whenever I crave for mazesoba 😋

This is a review of the new Marutama outlet at ION Orchard. I had the Stone Bowl Dandan Tsukemen unique to this branch, and the side chicken balls. The latter were yummy, but the Tsukemen is one of the worst I have had. The broth is too thick and much less flavourful or fragrant than other versions. Service is friendly and efficient. Although there’s a line at meal times, for me it’s less good than the ramen place that stood at the same location before.

($10.80) i have tried their best selling chicken nabann dish but its quite nice and strong flavoured marinated tbh as less people in the queue currently.

A bold twist combining Singapore's rich herbal bak kut teh broth with springy japanese ramen noodles.
The Bak Kut Teh Ramen comes with tender pork and black fungus, served with crispy you tiao, chopped chili and black soy sauce
Rich, hearty, and oh-so-satisfying; a true celebration of SG60 in every bite
Gyozas lightly charred on one side, soft and chewy on the other side then served neatly side by side. It comes with sweet and juicy pork filling underneath. Simple, light and flavourful 》$4.90
Signature triple soup produced using selected Hamaguri clams, pork bone and Japanese broth. Garnished with housemade Tartufata (black truffle paste), porcini oil and porcini flakes. The combination of these premium ingredients magically enhances the flavour, giving birth to a multifaceted taste.
The broth is light and savoury with an interesting flavour from the mix of clams, pork bone and black truffle. The noodles were firm and slippery with a slight chew. I also added a portion of pork belly and egg. The porcini oil enhances the flavour of the meat very well and the ajitama (eggs) is so good. Perfectly marinated with soy sauce with custard-like yolks. I was also served a small saucer (appetiser) of Hamaguri clam rice while waiting for my ramen 》$14.90 + $4.90 Pork Belly & Egg
Popped by Fortune Centre for a spontaneous bite and wow — it totally made my day! 🎉
Tried their mentaiko pasta and it was rich, creamy and loaded with umami goodness. Every strand of spaghetti was coated in that luscious mentaiko cream topped with crispy whitebait, prawns, seaweed, and little pops of ikura… Also treated myself to their cream crab croquette — golden, crisp on the outside, velvety-creamy inside and crowned with heaps of shredded crab and ikura. Both were so addictive and indulgent, I’m still thinking about it. 😋
