Tried the wonton, braised beef brisket noodle and scallion oil noodle. The wontons had a meatball‑like filling wrapped in soft skin with soup that felt oily though the preserved veg gave a refreshing crunch. The noodles were decent though flavour leaned on the lighter side.

Overall, portions and flavours were decent but average. Nothing bad but nothing memorable either.

The steamed chicken was tender and smooth, while the roasted chicken had crisp skin and deeper flavour. Both came with fragrant rice and clear broth. What’s chicken rice without good chilli? Their chilli is bright, spicy and ties the whole plate together.

Lower Quarter Steamed/Roasted Chicken Rice 》$6.80 Each

One of my favourite weekday lunch spots in Tai Seng. Affordable nasi padang with plenty of choices. Meats go for $1.50–$4 while veggies and sides are just $1–$2.

They’ve got rotating specials too. ayam penyet on Mon, Tue & Thu and nasi briyani on Wed & Fri. Since they only open on weekdays, it’s basically a reliable go‑to for a satisfying lunch around the area 》$5

The buttermilk waffle came warm and fluffy, crisp at the edges and made the perfect base for a double scoop of gelato. Brownie was rich and chocolatey, almost fudgy, while passion fruit cut through with a bright, tangy zing. Together, it’s that classic warm-cold combo with a sweet-sour twist 》$13.50

The claypot Hokkien mee had a slight wok hei and savoury prawn broth coating the noodles, comforting but not as smoky as I’d hoped.

The supreme prawn noodle in dry version came with vegs, fried shallots and crispy pork lard. The broth was silky and umami-rich with pork ribs, clams, tobiko prawn balls and pork slices but I personally prefer a fuller-bodied prawn soup with stronger punch. The chilli with the dry noodles didn’t quite deliver that shiok kick, though the toppings added nice variety.

Good bowls with plenty going on but for me the flavours didn’t fully live up to the hype.

Tried the regular bowl with sushi rice, salad base, shoyu salmon and mentai salmon, plus chuka wakame, corn, cranberries, tobiko, and pickled daikon. Everything felt nicely balanced and not too heavy.

The roasted sesame dressing added a nutty, creamy finish that tied it all together. Portion is decent and flavours are clean.

Service was a little slow even on a weekday afternoon, so best to cater a bit more time if you’re heading over during lunch 》$18.90

Soft Japanese pearl rice paired with mock meat chunks in a rich, housemade rendang curry infused with toon leaf. It’s served with crispy mushroom “anchovies,” fresh cucumber and tomato, alongside a shot of fruit vinegar to brighten the palate. Despite being fully vegan, the flavours are authentic, hearty and genuinely satisfying 》$9.90

Always a queue during lunch but this is worth it. Broth’s fresh, naturally sweet and clean-tasting. Prawns were fresh, squid had bounce, fish slices soft and smooth. Comforting, light and quietly satisfying 》$7

Prawn broth was rich and tasty. I had the seafood pao fan which was served boiling hot with several fresh prawns and lala and it was so yummy and hearty! Side dishes and service were also good. Would recommend to try!

One of the most flavourful prawn soups I've had! The broth was just so rich and full of depth. Would also recommend the sotong you tiao, crunhcy on the outisde and super flavourful

zhup zhup supreme, very value for money! lots of noodles and ingredients. felt super full after the meal. they served the ingredients in another claypot bowl and my stomach was full of delicious soup! which they very nicely helped us to refill.

Fresh salmon is seared to perfection, then topped with their house-made maple miso-dijon sauce that's sweet, tangy and slightly nutty glaze which really lifts the dish. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes and crisp steamed vegetables 》$18.90
