(Hot) ($7.50) luckily i ask no sugar and got strong matcha taste and not much milky and creamy aftertaste.
($10 only applies on night time after 8 - 9 p.m.) consisted of tamago, ebi, pork katsu sando. I finally tried their sando after a long time. its quite nice tbh compared to local sando stores tbh. really authentic taste from Japan tbh. I did reheat based on google research ah so the taste really authentic one. Tamago taste like Japan version ; ebi got too much "batter"; pork katsu too tough tbh ;")
($8.50) i finally tried funan's bahn mi after my friend asked me out for takeaway. I felt that the bread was quite crispy and crunchy texture. But its serving portion for bahn mi was quite average tbh.
[KOVAN, SINGAPORE] @alkove.sg is known for their multiple promotions throughout the day, and I've finally tried their daily dinner set menu!
At around $25, depending on your main and top-ups, you get a really sizable meal with a starter, a side and a dessert. The mains are already quite huge, and my favourite among all I've tried is the Chicken Schnitzel π ($17.90) which was really enormous and the meat within is really tender and flavourful! The rice unfortunately did not have much garlic taste, but the meat sauce helped.
As for starters, the ciabatta with kombu butter π₯ is lovely, as the bread was toasted well and paired deliciously with the umami spread π Get the mushroom chips as well as that provided a lovely crunch!
For sides, the Mala Potatoes π₯ is the GOAT. Crispy potatoes with a mala sauce that tasted like lao ganma, this was addictive.
As for desserts, both the Brownie with Ice Cream π« & Tiramisu β were good. The former was very rich and chocolatey and the latter had a strong coffee taste!
Indeed there were some misses from the items not mentioned, but overall it was a decent meal, and it was fun trying out so many different varieties of food! Where else can you get such variety at such a price?
Not sweet at all so not my type.
I think it's bun cha? The meatcakes were rich but salty. Nice noodles but the tau gey and veg were very raw.
There's always a fried chicken something, and here it is. Comes with slaw, romaine, maple syrup and chilli oil. Good!
I came quickly after seeing this new item. How to eat foie gras without torturing geese. Suggestive name too haha. Granted, the lab-grown foie gras isn't as strong as the real thing, but it's acceptable imo. Paired with beef skirt steak, cheddar, honey mustard and jalapeno relish. They went well together, but picking the All-Sorts bagel made things too complicated.
Real, large, crispy. But just a few pieces. Mouth still itchy.
($7) I wanted to try their stuff especially got no time to pass or head their cafe lol. But I decided to go there for trying their matcha before heading to lunch venue. They got selling strawberry and blueberry version too at same time but I don't really like it that much. hmmm the taste like bitter taste but not that nutty taste.
Another winner at Woolyβs Bagel! Champs!!
