The Cordyceps Flower Kampung chicken soup is pure gold, with a rich broth and tender chicken. The signature jade tofu was super crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, with a exquisite flavour.

The Collagen Fish Maw Soup was the highlight of the dinner. The rich texture of the fish maw pairs well with the flavorful abalone broth. With two big abalones, plus the added benefits of cordyceps and red dates, itโ€™s not only tasty but also nourishing.

The Cucumber in Vinaigrette is also a fantastic starter! It has a nice balance of spicy and savory flavors, and the crisp cucumbers make it really refreshing. It reminds me of that viral cucumber salad and is perfect as a light dish to share.

Came by Tan Ser Seng for dinner and was surprised by how crowded it was despite their location. Ordered their Cordyceps Chicken Soup, and Ginseng Black Chicken Soup. The soups were both extremely tasty and rich. You could tell by the thickness and umami that they boiled these for a long time. The chicken in the soup was super soft as well- it falls right off the bone. This might be one of the best herbal soups we've had. Ordered some sides to go with our meal, and they were so well made too. Particularly loved their fried prawn rolls. Will definitely return here for a dose of hearty soup for the soul.

Honestly, I had the best ginseng chicken herbal soup at Tan Ser Seng. The soup was super flavorful and generously filled with herbs. I didnโ€™t expect the chicken to be fall-off-the-bone tender, which made it such a delight to enjoy.

The tofu and Ngoh Hiang also stood out to me, Iโ€™ve never had this kind of texture for Ngoh Hiang skin before. I absolutely loved it alongside the sesame sweet sauce. Super hearty, especially on a rainy day!

Side note: the staff here are super friendly as well, super attentive and kind โ—กฬˆ

high recommend their herbal black chicken soup, very tonifying. love the prawn balls, feels unique from the usual ones that ive taken. the yam rice give me malaysia vibes. no longer have to travel to jb, tan ser heng herbs is all u need for good quality eatery!

Stumbled across this while we were walking at Aljunied area and trying to find a dinner place. We especially love their radish omelette and signature jade tofu. The omelette was light, fluffy and goes so well with the cai poh. The jade tofu was fried to perfection & wasnโ€™t oily. We also got the prawn rolls and I loved that I could see actual whole shrimps inside!!

The soup we got was the collagen fish maw soup & I loved how clean and flavourful it tasted at the same time. FYI refills are free & we got a refill of the delicious soup. Loved that even after drinking the soup, I did not feel thirsty - thatโ€™s how you know the soup is truly authentic and boiled for hours!

Overall, will definitely come back again to try their other soups as well!!

Great no-frills dining. If you are looking for an authentic filling meal with fried seaweed beancurd, prawn rolls, radish omelette and fish maw collagen soup, Tan Ser Leng Herb Restaurant is the place to be! The fish maw soup was filled with herbs giving it a delicious and traditional herbal taste.

Atmosphere was great too, the air ventilation was good as there were ample fans. Would recommend!

I was craving herbal soup today and came across a reputable restaurant near where we were looking for lunch. After a short wait, we managed to get a table and were immediately impressed by the variety of dishes and soups on the menu.
Since it was my first visit, I asked the server for recommendations. We decided to share the claypot turtle soup and the cordyceps flower kampung chicken soup. She also suggested two of their signature side dishes which is the jade tofu and handmade fresh prawn rolls which we ordered to complement our meal.
The claypot turtle soup was hearty and full of rich herbal flavor, while the cordyceps flower kampung chicken soup was light, nourishing, and refreshing. I found the signature jade tofu impressed with its delicate texture and vibrant taste and the handmade fresh prawn roll stood out with its crispiness and the natural sweetness of the prawns.
Altogether, the dishes were well-prepared, flavorful and complemented one another perfectly. We ended our meal with free complimentary ice cream which is free flow for all the guests.
Strongly recommend for those who like herbal soup to give this restaurant a try and plenty of road side free parking on Sunday and after 5pm on weekday too.

Tried Tan Ser Seng Herbal Soup (since 1946) and loved the hearty flavors! The Cordyceps Flower Kampung Chicken Soup was rich and comforting, while the Jade Tofu and Prawn Roll were crispy yet light. They even treated us to a new dish for feedback . A wholesome meal with rice and refreshing water chestnut โ€” definitely worth a try for authentic traditional flavors!

Had lunch on a Sunday and the place was packed. The Ginseng Black Chicken Soup was aromatic, robust and a strong ginseng flavor, soothing without being overly bitter. The black chicken meat was very tender and fall-off-the-bone. Very hearty and nourishing. Perfect for a rainy day or when you need a revitalizing pick-me-up.

The preserved radish (Chai Poh) Omelette is a classic, homestyle favorite. This omelette was fluffy, generously paired with salty-sweet preserved radish, and has a crispy edge.

The jade tofu was silky and smooth. Yam rice was fragrant and savory with soft, subtle chunks of yam.

Overall, a very satisfying and wholesome meal.

Headed down at 430pm before the dinner crowd on a weekend. Fish maw soup was extremely flavourful and rich. They were generous with the amount of fish maw and also had two small abalone. Soup was packed with collagen and they allowed for one free refill.
Yam rice was fragrant and paired well with the soup.
Great place for family meals. Would come again to try the other soups.
