Stumbled upon this cosy spot in Kembangan and was pleasantly surprised by how comforting the food was. The homemade barley drink hit all the right nostalgic notes, reminding me of classic coffee shop vibes. The Sze Chuan Chicken stole the show with its sweet and spicy tang, while the beancurd’s special sauce added a nice twist. Everything paired perfectly with their sweet potato porridge, making it a simple, flavourful, and satisfying meal. Definitely a place I’ll return to for a hearty, feel-good meal! 😋

This pudding dessert features grated carrot cooked with ghee / clarified butter, cream, white sugar, powdered cardamom, and garnished with black raisins and pine nuts.

The result is a crumbly chewy juicy texture, with bright vegetal earthy fruity sweet flavour. I like that it is not overly sweet nor intense on the palate, yum.

Their rendition has tender grilled boneless chicken chunks, simmered in a thick creamy red onion and tomato based curry gravy, resplendent with spices including fennel, cumin, and cardamom.
.
Carries a light smoky meaty savoury sweet vegetal spice flavour, mild and pleasant. Laced with a drizzle of yoghurt for added creaminess and a milky sour sweet note. Paired well with bread or rice.

Breakfast from the same spot where I had lontong last time. Tried their Mee Soto this round. Bowl came packed with mee kuning, shredded chicken, hard-boiled egg, beansprouts, shallot, parsley, and sambal in hearty chicken soup.

Yellow noodles didn’t have that strong alkaline taste, which is good. Soup was savoury and comforting, and the chicken soaked up the flavour nicely. Sambal gave the morning spicy kick I needed to wake up well. Slurp! A good budget meal to have.

You must try their chilli. It is spicy, oily, and savoury, and pairs well with the claypot rice.

Spammed with crispy fragrant garlic and drowned in a savoury soya sauce mixture. The crunchy, refreshing vegetables soaked up rich flavour. Do eat them quickly and avoid leaving them on the plate too long, or they will get soggy and a tad salty from soaking up too much sauce.

The pork ribs were savoury, chewy, and bite-sized, but eat with great care as they chopped it up till small small.

As you can see, you can request for no spring onion. The chicken was soft and tender, but be careful of bones.

Went here for dinner with my friend and is happy with the experience. They have a variety of food to choose from and all taste pretty good !:)

Their rendition packs more fiery heat, with the use of red chili alongside turmeric, coriander, curry leaves, and cumin, in a tomato and red onion gravy that is fragrant, oily, and rich.
