Hidden gem. I don't expect heartland dim sum to be this level. The ingredients that went into the siew mai did not hold back. Restaurant prices but can fight top-end restaurants.

I heard about this dish and came for it. Overall, good ingredients, good execution and serves more than one pax. Didn't let me down.

Chicken wing, egg, curry veg, brinjal, prawn roll, extra rice. Maybe dabao too long, everything's dry. Quite a bad meal.

($9.80) it's quite expensive drink on north east line tbh :") tbh I don't wanted to get this "trend" for banana pudding. I really want to try their popular drink so it just happened. But I felt that banana pudding got strong taste in matcha before premixed as their matcha taste quite milky and sweet tbh. overall that I want to try for once to experience how "trend" go up and down like roller coaster. But it's interesting fusion for banana pudding w matcha tbh.

[KOVAN, SINGAPORE] @alkove.sg is known for their multiple promotions throughout the day, and I've finally tried their daily dinner set menu!

At around $25, depending on your main and top-ups, you get a really sizable meal with a starter, a side and a dessert. The mains are already quite huge, and my favourite among all I've tried is the Chicken Schnitzel 🐔 ($17.90) which was really enormous and the meat within is really tender and flavourful! The rice unfortunately did not have much garlic taste, but the meat sauce helped.

As for starters, the ciabatta with kombu butter 🥖 is lovely, as the bread was toasted well and paired deliciously with the umami spread 😋 Get the mushroom chips as well as that provided a lovely crunch!

For sides, the Mala Potatoes 🥔 is the GOAT. Crispy potatoes with a mala sauce that tasted like lao ganma, this was addictive.

As for desserts, both the Brownie with Ice Cream 🍫 & Tiramisu ☕ were good. The former was very rich and chocolatey and the latter had a strong coffee taste!

Indeed there were some misses from the items not mentioned, but overall it was a decent meal, and it was fun trying out so many different varieties of food! Where else can you get such variety at such a price?

Above average. I'm not particularly a fan of kampong chicken so I can't judge.

The First Street fish soup brand ventures into Hokkien mee territory. It's a good plate albeit not memorable.

A refreshing take on mango sticky rice! The black glutinous rice was super soft and had a great chewy texture and the coconut milk was creamy but not overwhelming. The mango cubes were a little sour but in a refreshing way that balanced everything out. The sago added a nice pop of texture and the grass jelly was a cool, light touch. Overall, it’s a fun and satisfying dessert especially if you’re looking for something less sweet but still really delicious 》$4.50

The pork chop came with bones, which made it more tricky to eat than I’d like. The noodles were alright, nice and chewy, but the sauce felt too mild and lacked the rich, punchy flavour I was expecting. Overall, it just didn’t come together as I thought it would 》$9.20
