It was an amazing dinner experience offering a brilliant fusion of tradition and innovation! Personal favourites were the crispy squid tentacles and mac and cheese! 🥰🫶🏻
🐙 Crispy Squid Tentacles
Golden-fried to perfection, these squid tentacles were crisp outside and tender within, with zero greasiness. The homemade honey-lime mayonnaise was the perfect companion—creamy, citrusy, and slightly sweet—while a wedge of charred lemon added a bright, smoky zing. Seafood done right.
Not sweet at all so not my type.
Coffee Break with the colleagues, complete with Big Short Coffee’s current Spring 2025 menu!
No points for guessing what I got, because matcha items would always get my attention first. Hence, their Crema al Matcha ($9) was it for me. A decadent dessert in a cup with the slushie-like texture and balanced flavour of earthy matcha, sweet vanilla bean fragrance and delicate milky aroma. The crunchy coffee honeycomb toppings are the icing on the cake.
As a non-coffee drinker, I really enjoyed the Happy Harry ($8) as well. Love the gentle floral notes with the use of wildflowers rare honey, yummy red osmanthus jelly, layered with smooth blue pea flower cream and refreshing fresh coconut water as base. A thirst quencher to beat the heat~
There's always a fried chicken something, and here it is. Comes with slaw, romaine, maple syrup and chilli oil. Good!
I came quickly after seeing this new item. How to eat foie gras without torturing geese. Suggestive name too haha. Granted, the lab-grown foie gras isn't as strong as the real thing, but it's acceptable imo. Paired with beef skirt steak, cheddar, honey mustard and jalapeno relish. They went well together, but picking the All-Sorts bagel made things too complicated.
Real, large, crispy. But just a few pieces. Mouth still itchy.
the burger was stacked, messy in the best way, and the fries hit just right with that tangy sauce
One of more authentic and better Vietnamese restaurants in Singapore, with a long and diverse menu, ranging from family-style dishes, to bar food (eg. 10 different kinds of snails or other shell seafood), to street food, to the classical dishes well known to tourists (like phở, banh mì, spring rolls, etc). Reasonable pricing too.
